The atmosphere in the palace was very tense since the battle between the wizards and the non-wizards. A man with blue eyes, a handsome face, and long hair flowing down his shoulders. Lucas wasn't on the throne, he was walking down the stairs to the dungeon.
This was the first time this had happened in his new life, as if the world didn't want him to be happy for a long time. He didn't know how many stairs it took to reach the bottom. In a room that was not that big, there was a small room at the end with iron bars that prevented the people inside from leaving.
He hadn't seen his poor cousin for five years. Dull face, worn and dirty clothes, messy and unkempt hair. But there was still a trace of handsomeness in his face and in his inky black eyes.
"Moran, have you not done enough? Your kingdom is on the verge of collapse, but you have stabbed me in the back once again. These rebels are after my palace." Lucas held back his anger, though he could see that his face was already turning red.
The man named Moran could only bow his head as he sat on the hard mattress. Lucas was very close to his younger cousin, he felt sorry for Moran's fate. Lucas himself was the one who helped Moran when there was a massive rebellion in the kingdom. His cousin fled twenty kilometers away, only to arrive in the Moon Kingdom. He fled on horseback, carrying his young son in his arms after his wife died at the hands of the rebels.
Lucas had a kind heart and was willing to take in Moran and his nephew, temporarily living in a mansion near the palace. At least this way, Lucas can monitor his baby nephew's condition.
But once again, Moran betrayed him. His goodness was not considered, and greed tried to usurp his throne. Moran ended up in a special prison. Seeing his sad and guilty face.
"I only want the best for my son. I want my son to have a decent life and the right to be an heir. I've made a mess again." Moran raged and hit his head, blaming himself for his stupidity. "You don't feel this, Lucas. Because you will forever be unable to produce an heir for the Moon Kingdom."
Very painful, honest words, but the facts are true. Lucas has married noble women more than ten times, but none of his marriages lasted long because of his disability, which prevented him from producing children. No woman wants to marry a defective king, even if he has the title of a great wizards. It was just a title, it wouldn't convey the fact that he was a cripple who couldn't bear children.
Moran stopped banging his head and looked at Lucas with expectant eyes. "It's been five years, Lucas. I just want to meet my son, and then I will help you defeat the rebels who attacked your kingdom. Just this once. Please don't separate me from my son."
Seeing Moran beg and kowtow like that. The life of his cousin was very sad. Lucas' heart was touched again and he felt compassion. He took Moran out of prison and removed the magic seal from his cousin's body.
However, Moran took advantage of his kindness again and again. Being stabbed in the back really hurt. At least Lucas was still alive and suffered only minor injuries.
The chase continued, leaving the palace grounds and heading up a mountain near a residential area.
Lucas continues to pursue Moran. Launching the most powerful attack they had, the bright blue and dark purple beams collided, causing an explosion that damaged their battlefield. The blast incinerated parts of the forest, mountaintops, and even nearby residential areas.
Lucas breathed a sigh of relief, absolutely no residents were injured or killed, everyone was in a safe place.
He let go of all his disappointment and was not afraid to fight Moran. After all this time, he was so close to his cousin, on good terms. But it ended in betrayal. Lucas is free to attack the enemy. It drags on, even for days. Their fight was fruitless.
Lucas stretched out his arms and created a ball of increasing size, from the smallest to the largest. The ball shone brightly, like moonlight. The power and mass are so great that they condense and create an enormous pressure. The place turned into a scorching hot air. The speed at which the blue ball moved was very high, and it caused damage to the surrounding area.
But the blue ball was held back by a dark purple shield casing, and inside the shield, a flower plant formed, its petals opening wide to reveal a mouth and sharp fangs.
Two attacks colliding with each other. The blue ball continued to move, and with each rotation, it eroded the dark purple barrier, creating friction and sparks. The friction caused the once large blue ball to erode little by little. Even though it was now the size of a volleyball, the blue ball shattered the dark purple shield and destroyed the plants protecting Moran.
Of course, fighting with punches, kicks, and even magic techniques is exhausting. But the result of the battle was still a draw, making them extremely tired.
"You won't be able to kill me, Lucas."
Lucas knew enough to know that with his current strength he could match Moran. But there was no way out. The only thing he had was a high-level cursed magic item.
If Lucas couldn't kill Moran, he would just have to seal and trap his cousin in an eternal prison. Even though it would eventually drain his strength and life, he would really die in the end after activating a high-level cursed magic item.
On the other hand, Lucas was thinking about his nephew. If his nephew knew that Lucas had killed his father or put him in the Shadow Prison under the Shadow. It was likely that his nephew would hate him. Lucas would feel very guilty for making his nephew an orphan.
He no longer used magic power. His eyes were sad as he looked at his cousin with a sincere look for the first time.
"Moran, that's enough. Do you really not want to see your son's face after not seeing him for five years? Your son is probably already five years old."
His cousin's eyes no longer looked cruel, they were filled with sadness and regret. Moran stopped using his magic technique when he saw him fall to his knees, screaming hysterically and hitting his head.
"I'm really stupid. I'm just stupid. I don't deserve to be a father figure." Moran kept hitting his head, screaming like crazy, sobbing with tears rolling down his face.
Lucas reached out. He tried to reach Moran's heart again, which had fallen into darkness. Lucas is sure that this time Moran really wants to change his dark life and return to the right path.
The happy smile on his face disappeared, replaced by a frown. His blue eyes, always bright, now showed only a pale color.
It was countless how many times Moran had betrayed him and once again Lucas believed that Moran would not betray him. It's all just lies, deception, manipulative behavior that Moran does over and over again. Take advantage of his sincere and kind heart.
The sharp blade of the sword was covered in blue lightning and plunged straight through his heart. Lucas coughed and spit out his blood, staining the grass. Lucas was still able to survive as Moran was merciless and smiled mockingly as his cousin cruelly pulled out the sword that had pierced his chest.
"You are too naive and too easily manipulated. Lucas, you will not be able to kill me and I will take your throne." Moran grinned, his face cunning like a poisonous snake.
Lucas smiled crookedly and cursed his stupidity. There was nothing wrong with being a good person, but being too good and being easily fooled were two different things. He finally found out that Moran wasn't really good to him.
"Don't worry. Even if I can't kill you, you'll never get out, Moran." Lucas smiled awkwardly.
He threw twelve golden keys into the air. The keys floated in the air. Lucas is casting a spell, a spell that makes Moran unhappy and angry.
Various methods are used, including the most powerful attack. Even though Lucas is currently tired and has a mortal wound on his chest. The attack has no effect on him as the energy in his body flows out to unlock the high-level curse magic.
The golden-yellow keys moved, forming a beautiful constellation in the sky, and you could clearly see the path leading from one key to another.
Two large pitch-black doors appeared in the sky, and the locks also turned black. Two doors opened wide, revealing boundless darkness. Black hands came out of the hole and grabbed Moran's body.
"You are very naive, Lucas. Just because you imprisoned me, it will all be over. My son will not accept that you imprisoned his father. Even my descendants will avenge me," Moran said with sharp eyes. "You will not be able to have children. But I still have children, and in the future my descendants will avenge me."
But not Lucas. He couldn't show any expression on his pale face.
"No. I will make sure that your descendants will not take revenge. You must atone for all your sins."
Without words or farewells, Moran fell silent. The black hands dragged his cousin's body away, and he was placed in a prison. The door was shut and sealed forever.
Shadow prison under shadow.
So much energy and life force consumed. Lucas could no longer maintain his body, which began to weaken, and eventually died.
Lucas may return to the new world, the modern era.
No one can guarantee that the future will be bright.
