A small squeak escaped from my lips as my eyes widened when the big devil male lead collapsed onto me! My petite size could not support his tall yet slim stature! Not at all!
"Can you lend me a hand?" I plead to the conductor. I could barely hold myself while my hands did not know where to put around the male lead's body! All I knew was that he was leaning against me and his face was beside my head. His even breathing tickled the right side of my neck.
"The driver and I do not know any first aid, so I will place the Young Master near your seat." The conductor murmured to himself, but I still managed to hear it.
Gulping loudly, the conductor inched his rough hands to support the weight of Luther Drakkon away from me.
"Hiss!"
The hand that was about to touch Luther's back was now burnt to black. Buried by the conductor's hiss of pain was a small sizzling sound as if Luther's body rejected the conductor's touch unconsciously.
But, why did it not do the same to me? I pondered for a minute before it was interrupted by the male lead's moan.
I glanced at the conductor but the latter looked away. Fear radiated from his stance.
"Help me call my companion, please," I whispered toward the ashen conductor.
"Got it!" The conductor dashed away as if he was afraid that I would change my mind.
Left alone with a heavy and unconscious big bad male lead, I murmured. "Why are you wounded? I thought you were supposed to be omnipotent?"
Silence answered me.
The heavy footsteps of the conductor and Leo made me sigh in relief.
"Young Miss!" Leo was clearly flustered especially after smelling the scent of blood. But after seeing my situation, he also sighed in relief.
When Leo was about to touch Luther, I stopped him. "Don't! Look at his hands," I gestured to the conductor, "You will be like that if you touch this dude haphazardly! Let me do it, just clear the way."
Leo wanted to say something but stopped midway. He was having an internal struggle.
I did not give Leo a chance to change his mind. Walking one step at a time, sweat trickled down my nose and chin.
Finally, when I thought it would take forever to reach the seat next to ours, I was finally able to let go of Luther. I really wanted to dump this man briskly and turned my back away from him, but when he was already seated and slumped on the seat five steps away from my seat—I was stopped by his hand subconsciously holding my wrist tightly.
Leo came forward, but I shook my head.
They said that it was easier to invite a God, but it was the hardest to send them away. Now I knew what this saying from the ancient meant.
"I'll tend to his wound until he lets me go. We all know that neither of you can touch him but me." I gave them a reassuring smile.
The conductor looked at me as if I was his great savior while Leo fought back his internal struggle before he could give me a helpless nod.
"Be careful. I am just a few steps away from you, Young Miss," said Leo.
"I'll go and inform the driver. We've been delayed far too long already." The conductor scampered away, leaving me alone with an unconscious Luther Drakkon.
I looked around before I conjured a medicine box. I got two of them from signing two times to the infirmary before I left the Alizo Clan. Now was the first time I would be using it.
Kneeling beside the male lead, I slowly arranged his posture while checking for the locations of the wounds that littered his body.
And heck there were a lot of them! Ranging from old ones to new ones, under his prestigious clothes were scars and wounds that held untold stories of his glory.
Putting aside the medicine box, I took the scissors from it and made a cut around Luther's left torso. Five centimeters cut displayed a three-centimeter slash wound. I did not know how to suture a wound, but I at least knew how to disinfect a wound. In the interstellar era, I usually tended to my wounds whenever the research team would tag along with the hunting team in the wild.
From time to time, I would bow and blow carefully. The last time I would like was a very awake male lead staring at me while cleaning up his wounds! Sometimes, Leo would come and ask me so I could only grit my teeth and give him a small smile.
Of course, I am not fine! But do I have a choice? I glanced at the hand gripping my right wrist like a vice grip. A bitter smile painted on my sweaty face.
From his torso to his chest then down to his arms and up to his neck, I cleaned the wounds with cotton balls and alcohol before putting gauze on them.
As soon as I finished tending the wound on Luther's neck near his collarbone, what was left for me to clean was the small wound near his chin. I inched myself closer to reach it and to get comfortable.
I was now 'almost' practically straddling Luther Drakkon. What could I do? I am way smaller than him even when we were in a sitting position!
No wound was small enough not to use gauze on it. So, I only intended to clean it up.
But it was only in this meager distance that I was able to stare right into the male lead's beauty. Without his penetrating gaze pinned on me, I could shamelessly observe every contour of his seemingly perfectly sculpted face.
"Are you done checking me out, princess?"
It was too late for me to realize that he was already awake. The next thing I knew, his hand released my wrist but it encircled around my waist, drawing me closer to his body until I lost my balance and straddled him in the end.
Looking down at his eyes, the atmosphere turned ambiguous!
