The next morning, Lady Victoria held her son in her arms, the tiny bottle of antidote clutched in her hand.
She watched as her son took the medicine, her heart aching with the hope that he would be safe from now on.
She knew she needed to do something about Karyan, the boy who held power over them all.
She couldn't confront him alone, she needed an ally. With this in mind, she made her way to Barbara.
"Barbara," Victoria started, her voice was shaky, "We need to talk about Karyan."
Barbara, sitting in her chair, looked up with a calm expression. "What about him?"
"He's... he's changed. He's playing dangerous games," Victoria said, clutching her son closer.
Barbara smiled softly. "Karyan is just a boy. Boys will be boys, they play games."
"But not like this. He's hurting people," Victoria insisted.
Barbara sighed. "He's strong, like his father. He has a good heart."
