At a young age I had always wanted attention and to be loved by everyone because i am the best all over the world and no one can be better than me,that's what I thought until I met Jasmine my step sister.
When mom got divorced I was happy because my dad was a poor man and he couldn't take care of me or my mom, people laughed at me when I tried to become friends with them..they made comments like "I don't want anything to do with those poor people, they stink of poverty" and that made me hurt. When I heard she was getting married to a rich newscaster and journalist, I was happy that i could finally get the money, attention and love that other people got.
But to my surprise I had a step sister and she was so pretty and loved by her father , mom saw this to and Instantly hated her which made me happy but the fact that she always smiled and was kind to everyone around her made me hate her more.
Few years later, mom married my stepdad and that was when I felt happier and got excited because Jasmine was going to suffer but it seemed as if it was me that got to suffer because the boy I love is now following her like a bee and I feel more hatred towards her now.

It was the week of the class project submission, classes soon began and there was no sign of Ethan and jasmine started becoming anxious because she did not want to submit the assignment without him.
"What could have gone wrong?… he isn't here yet and it's about time to submit our project, Jasmine said to herself.
Ethan entered the class with his eyes all swollen up the whole class looked at him and he looked pretty tired with a puffy eyes.
"Ethan, why are you soo late today?, the teacher asked".
He didn't say anything, all he did was bow his head to apologize. The teacher understood and said "the class was just about to start, I'll let you go for today when your done with classes for the day, come to the guidance counselor office". He nodded and walked to his sit.
"Pssst…Ethan… Ethan, jasmine called him silently but he didn't answer her". They soon submitted their assignment and as soon as the bell rang for lunch she immediately ran to meet Ethan.
"Ethan, what's wrong?"
He smiled and said "it is nothing I just didn't sleep well last night".
"So now you want to play the keeping quiet game after we decided to depend on each other at our lowest time, talk to me tell me what happened?"
Ethan looked at jasmine and walked past her, jasmine stopped him and was about to say something when Alexander approached her.
"Hey jasmine, I wanted to talk to you about something… what happened to you Ethan?, Alex said"
Ethan ignored him and walked past him and entered a room.
"What could have happened to him?, Jasmine said under her breath".
"Did you say something?"
She realized Alex was still here "oh no, you said you wanted to talk to me about something…"
"Yes… this Friday night we have something called the PARTY OF THE FRESHMAN, we do this every semester where we choose and elect the new queen and king of the school just like prom but a different meaning and time, whoever wins get a free lunch card for the whole semester that's just the luck there"
"Okay…. Thanks for telling me, she said still thinking about Ethan"
"So I wanted to ask you if you would want to be my date for that night?"
Jasmine stood there shocked by the question…
