Huang An's expression turned stiff as he looked at the guards with a surprised gaze.
Abyss has fallen?!
Something like the abyss could fall?!
His eyes turned wide when he realized what it actually meant.
The abyss.
It wasn't something ordinary out there. No one knew when and how it appeared down there, in the coldest region of the planet. But when it did, several other species started to come out of there.
Before the appearance of the abyss, only humans had inhabited this planet through and through without anyone stopping them from becoming the sole owner of this world. But…. everything changed when all the ancestors of different species emerged from this abyss.
At first, only a small portal-like thing appeared in the coldest inhabited region of the entire planet. Then, it grew until the entire place got covered up by those darkest areas, filling up the place with several portals in large areas.
Of course, the growth stopped after a place as big as a state got covered up by portals and dark clouds covering up the surface. This was why, beings coming out of those portals covered up the surface of the Earth in no time.
So if someone uttered those words, 'the abyss has fallen' it only meant one thing: those portals had disappeared.
And along with those portals, the entire region that came along with those portals such as that werewolf shrine, mating tree, bloody desert, fairy's library….. They also disappeared along with it.
"What the fuck are you talking about?!" Huang An's face was full of anger as he felt the elves were clearly lying.
How could the portals, which hadn't disappeared for the past few centuries, suddenly vanish without a trace?!
No, he would rather die than believe something like this!
The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. He glared at the other as he directly grabbed the man's neck with utmost intensity. Of course, there was a trace of rationality in his heart that stopped him from actually twisting the guard's neck right off the bat.
He stared at the other with a hint of fury in his eyes. His sharp nails slowly slid out of his fingers, pointing them toward the elf's neck which looked extremely fragile in the man's grip.
His gaze looked extremely intense and scary as he stared at the other with a hint of coldness. "If you dare to stop me from entering, this will be the end of you elves!"
The guard didn't budge, unlike other beings. Of course, in his heart, he was extremely afraid, but he didn't seem to have any other choice than to stand here and be threatened for nothing.
The abyss had truly fallen, ah! Was it his fault he was only saving their lives?!
He took a deep breath and finally managed to say, "Well, you can go, but don't tell me I didn't warn ya!"
Chen Ming, who heard the conversation from inside the car, frowned. He silently called out to the system and asked in his mind, "Tell me the truth. Is this related to my sudden appearance in this world?"
The system, however, pretended he didn't hear anything and casually stood on the side while whistling a song while humming a few words now and then. "The air is filled with romance~" Whistling, whistling….. "Oh….Oh~~~~~ How good is the romance~"
Veins popped on Chen Ming's forehead as he glared at the little chick sitting on the seat beside him. Since this little thing was avoiding the topic, his doubt on this theory only increased.
First, it seemed as if the system, which was basically grounded by his officials in his system world, didn't have a clue of his appearance. Otherwise, it wouldn't come unprepared the very first moment of his appearance.
Second, he probably wasn't welcomed or this world wasn't probably planned to accept a host like him. So his appearance in this world was surely an accident which disrupted the energies from this world, leading the abyss to fall.
Even though he didn't know what the abyss here actually was, he knew it wasn't anything good seeing the werewolf alpha's angry expressions.
He lowered his head and said, "Go back."
After that, he continued to watch the show he was watching without caring about the outside world. In any case, his job was to make these two guys fall in love with him. So he would only experience this incredible event before dying for good.
After all, not everyone gets a chance to live a fantasy life, you know?
By the time Huang An returned to the car, his face still looked angry, but he was still satisfied with the result. In any case, if there was danger, he could save himself well.
As for the weak human sitting behind….
He glanced back with a hint of coldness spreading across his face.
This person was his mate. So he had to save the human until they found the shrine and break their bond once and for all.
Thus, he started the car and quickened it inside the gates of the abyss. He knew it was a risk if the abyss had fallen. Everything would be a mess, and the creatures who didn't get enough time to return to their worlds would become even angrier seeing commoners of this planet.
Of course, those portals weren't one-way gateways. They were two ways, but the majority of the places where all the beings lived had already been turned to dust. It could be said that the species who came here left their homes in a hurry as if to run away from a major destruction of their own places.
"Wait, what's that?" Chen Ming, who just happened to glance outside, was shocked to see a big circle surrounding the sky, sparkling with bluish and blackish electricity.
Huang An grunted as he said, "That's the most powerful portal around here. Welcome to the Abyss."
As soon as he spoke those words, the portal that was up in the sky suddenly blasted off, showering the rain of blood and bones to the ground all of a sudden mixed with debris of dust.
