Draven realized that Samar had indeed caught onto his ploy but the Archer was still beating around the bush, trying to make him admit his ulterior motives. Since that was the case, he decided to show his hand.
"I heard your conversation with Vice Leader Gansuk, Samar. It seemed like you had no intention of selling the Guild Recognition Seal but rather wanted to use it yourselves," Draven probed and Samar admitted to it frankly. It was indeed the truth that would come out a few days later, so why bother hiding it?
Draven was not expecting such frankness from Samar but it was refreshing. He sighed with a smile and said, "I wanted to recruit a talent like you in Silver Serpents but it seems impossible now."
