Chapter 90 - Howling Moon's Lunato

Boom! The sound of an explosion echoed through the cave, spreading far and wide.

An Lv17 Elementalist fighting in the inner area of the nest was startled by the sound of explosion but quickly recovered his composure.

He moved sideways to avoid the Spectral Needles launched by an Lv19 Elite Monster, the Shadow Seamstress and cast the spell he had been preparing.

"Aqua Torrentum!"

He spoke, aiming his wand at the Shadow Seamstress. A huge gush of water spewed from the wand and slammed into the sexy upper body of the Half-Human, Half-Spider monster, breaking it into half and taking away every last sliver of her health.

He then turned away from the dead monster, without a regard for its drops, knowing someone would pick it up and bring it over.

Just as he expected, a beautiful girl from New Moon Legion had picked up the loot and walked over to him,

"Here is your loot, Mr. Lunato," She said in a sweet voice, hoping to attract his attention. Lunato scanned her from head to down, his eyes resting on her curves.

Lunato did not reveal a slightest reaction on his face as he pocketed the loot she had brought over and turned to the leader of New Moon Legion's party, Red Dart.

"I heard an explosion just now. Who caused it?" Lunato asked in an impassive voice, as if questioning a subordinate.

Red Dart was not an ordinary member but an R4 of the New Moon Legion. She was also Lv17 Spirit Speaker, ranked in Top 100k of the Martian Summoner's Rankings.

She had her pride as a Ranker and , yet she did not dare to express her anger regarding Lunato's tone, for he was a ranker on the Deimos Dreadful Thousand list and the fastest rising rookie R3 in the Howling Moon Guild!

Let alone Red Dart, not even her Guild Master would dare to disrespect such a talent!

"It seems like someone killed our sentries at the entrance and came inside." Red Dart answered in a soft voice, all the while cursing the useless scouts in her heart.

Lunato looked at her with a displeased gaze, causing her to further lower her head.

"Send someone to take care of the intruder. I don't want my fight with Arachnos to be disrupted by unwanted guests."

Lunato said, no, ordered and turned his back on her without waiting for a reply.

Red Dart looked at his back with anger in her eyes but as a dog of Howling Moon Guild, she could do nothing but obey his command.

She separated a balanced team of 4 to take care of the intruder and quietly followed Lunato as he engaged another Shadow Seamstress in a fight.

Meanwhile, in the outer area of the lair…

The explosions in the nest continued to resound from time to time, killing Red Venom Spiders every few minutes. Soon, a white beam of light descended from the sky and fell on Samar, leveling him up to Lv 18.

At the same time a quest notification arrived.

[You have killed 30 Red Venom Spiders.]

[You have completed the quest, 'Spider Menace'. Please report to the Quest Branch to receive your rewards.]

Samar closed the notification and decided to take a well deserved break. After hunting non-stop for the past hour, he was too drained to continue.

Moreover, his next opponents were the Elite grade monsters, Shadow Seamstresses. He had to be in his best condition if he wanted to survive against them on his own.

Samar quickly found a place to rest and logged out to grab some water and snacks with Stivi.

Half an hour later, when he logged back in, his eyes fell on a tiny speck of vibrant green not far from him.

"Eh? Something survived in this dark and gloomy environment?"

Samar wondered, impressed and astonished. When he walked over, he realized it was actually a Clover and not an ordinary one!

" A Four Leaf Clover!" Samar exclaimed and immediately plucked it from the ground. As soon as he did so, the clover turned into golden dust and a series of dings chimed in his ears.

[Congratulations, you have discovered the Lucky Item, 'Four Leaf Clover'.]

[You have received a Stat buff, Tyche's Smile. Your Luck has increased by 25 Points for 60 minutes.]

Luck was the most mysterious and unstable stat in the Dreamverse. It varied every moment and yet, many phenomena were dependent on it.

The probability of triggering critical hits, status effects and capture rates…

Drops and loot from monsters and bosses…

The number of items in a treasure chest…

There were also some encounters with NPCs or items that depended on Luck!

It was such an important stat yet no one had found a way to check the Luck Stat or increase the points in Luck stat. Now, he had found one.

Samar was immensely glad that he had found the Clover after he had rested and restored his stamina rather than before. He could only imagine what great treasures he would discover in this nest with 25 points of Luck boost.

The Ranger took off the bow from his shoulder and notched an arrow before moving further into the shadowy depths of the Arachnos's Nest.

The surroundings became darker and gloomier with every step. Cold and moist breeze filled with the stench of rot blew towards him from the depths of the Nest.

As he stepped deeper, his nerves were tested and his sense of time was distorted.

Samar lost count of the many times that shadows had come alive and he had shot at the enemy in the dark, only to realize it was just his imagination.

Then he came across a silhouette which made him think he really might've been caught in an illusion.

An incredibly beautiful woman emerged from the depths of the nest. She had a perfect face, catching every man's fancy. Her wavy long hair, dark like tendrils of shadows, only partly covered her twin prides.

Her figure narrowed towards her waist and disappeared into a thick cover of darkness. Her skin was smooth without a blemish and it was blue.

"Wait Blue!?"

This little detail alarmed Samar. He realized that he had come face to face with the target of his second quest, the Shadow Seamstress.
