The matter was blown up even more because one of the Top 20 Guilds had participated in the Expedition. Moreover, it was not some inconsequential event but involved the economic interests of the Guild.
Yet, they had lost to a New Pioneer Guild!
The Emperor's Crown had lost tremendous amounts of prestige. Dittony had lost his position as an R4 while Loui, Violetta and the Royal Swords suffered pay cuts for three months.
Worst of all, this public defeat had made the Emperor's Crown a laughing stock in the upper echelons of the Ranked Guilds. Even though normal players dare not badmouth a behemoth like the Emperor's Crown, their rivals had no such reservations.
