"What did you say about my family?" Hanna turned to Rowen. She glared at him.
"You think I'll let you walk away after insulting me?" He sneered and thought, 'Sir Gibson told me to assess her. I should have done this from the beginning.'
Standing before Hanna, he taunted, "You might be a duke's daughter, but your family doesn't even qualify as the lowest-ranked nobles anymore. What right do you think you have to stand at my eye level? Bow to me, or suffer the consequences."
The tension in the hall quickly piled.
When both sides refused to back down, Gibson Boner interfered.
"I don't think this is how nobles should behave. Look at the gazes of the other heirs, which are looking at you two. They are laughing. Please, reign your temper." Gibson separated Hanna and Rowen.
However, Rowen refused to step away.
He smirked.
