Chereads / Game's Villain Is The Evil Clown / Chapter 7 - Main Cast

Chapter 7 - Main Cast

In Destiny Fall we had to raise a team to fight along with the protagonist.

The players were free to choose any character as a team member from the roster of infinite NPCs across the Universe.

This was the same as saying that any character other than Ezio was replaceable.

However, that was not true.

A few characters would always be present in the story. They could have overwhelming strength, widespread influence, or an emotional connection with Ezio.

These characters were the members of the main cast.

Beatrix, Doll, the absent heroine, and the guy who entered with Ezio were such people.

"Who might you two be?" Mr. Walker questioned the two boys standing at the door.

Their tattered clothes were dotted with blood.

They had tired expressions. It was as if they hadn't eaten anything for days while doing strenuous physical work.

Nevertheless, their eyes beamed with confidence.

"Liam Valenti." The boy with black hair introduced himself.

He swept his deep abyss-like black eyes across the classroom and sat at the last seat on the window side.

The classroom was plunged into silence.

No one spoke until Liam closed his eyes and slept on the desk.

"Did he… say Valenti?" The whisper broke the tranquil silence.

Everyone had the same question in their minds. Was he truly Liam Valenti, the first son of the Black Hound?

One had to know that White Spiral Galaxy consisted of 2,910,124 colonized planets. This large area was divided between three Galactic Kingdoms: Moretti Kingdom, Moonstone Kingdom and Seashore Kingdom.

White Spiral Galaxy was considered one of the smaller galaxies. Coupled with eight other larger galaxies, they were called the Nine Knight Alliance.

Valenti Family was a revered clan. They ruled over the Underworld, aka the Black Market, of the Nine Knight Alliance.

The mere mention of their name was enough to plunge fear into the hearts of billions.

There was a saying that you could win against an alliance of Galactic Kingdoms but not the Valenti Family.

If you fought them, then death would be mercy.

"Ahem, I'm Ezio." The white-haired boy with blue eyes interrupted the class. He was Liam's butler and his best friend.

Ezio understood that Liam was probably feeling embarrassed due to the attention he was getting, so he pulled the aggro to himself.

"Here." Ezio placed a metal plate on the desk of Mr. Walker. "We were ambushed by Gergo Space Pirates on our way. It took us time to subdue them completely and caused us to be late."

The classroom erupted into chaos.

"Which Space Pirate did he say?"

"Gergo!? They caught that villain that destroyed… wait, who is Gergo?"

"A notorious villain whom the alliance of the three Kingdoms couldn't catch for the last 30 years! There were rumors that Gergo had reached OuterGrade Power Level!"

Ezio smiled sheepishly at the praises.

He sat to the right of Liam after explaining that they had the help of Valenti Family guards.

It didn't decrease the fervent gazes of students.

If the Space Pirates attacked the ship carrying Liam Valenti, they must have made sufficient preparations.

Liam and Ezio's condition proved that they had participated in the battle against the Space Pirates.

The students felt their blood boiling with excitement when they witnessed two people their age come out of the battle of OuterGrades alive and act unfazed.

It was like hearing the tales of legendary heroes.

"Okay, whose introduction is left…. Umm, Mr. Pierrot, what are you doing?" Mr. Walker looked at me with weird eyes.

"Making friends?" I answered while standing next to Liam and Ezio.

"Yes?" Mr. Walker was confused but didn't stop me.

I removed the magician hat that I was wearing and took out two bottles from it.

"Here, refreshments. You two look tired." I gave the bottles with water and diluted [Ephemeral Euphoria Elixir] to Ezio and Liam.

Couldn't let Beatrix know that it was Ezio who defeated the Space Pirates, not the Valenti Family Guards, could I?

If I let it be, we would enter the definite route where Beatrix and Ezio start a relationship.

And then Bam. Game Over.

Ezio's cheat was his 'Future Self'.

In the previous timeline, Ezio found the power of God.

The power wasn't without cost. His friends, his emotions, and his love. Ezio gave up everything to gain power.

It was the only way to win the final battle.

However, he lost.

In a last desperate attempt, he sent the powers to the past. To his young self.

In the current timeline, Ezio received those powers when the space pirates captured him. He defeated the space pirates with the newfound strength.

However, the strength he acquired was limitless.

It had to be sealed or he would die.

Ezio needed time to adapt to the power inside him.

He didn't need to train or work hard. Even if he slept all day, he would grow stronger at a pace incomparable to others.

All he had to do was remain alive.

Just as I was about to curse his overpowered cheat, Ezio spoke up.

"Woah, how did those bottles fit in there?" Ezio stared at the bottle and the hat with sparkling eyes.

"Magic." I lied without missing a beat. It was a sleight of hand. The bottles were hidden inside my clothes, not my hat.

"Thanks!" Ezio drank the potion.

Liam, however, was suspicious of the drink.

"What is this?"

"It's a recovery-boosting potion." I tried to assure him. Dammit, this bastard. I'm trying to help you! Just drink it already!

Liam was trained to resist mind-reading skills.

He couldn't do that now as he was tired from the battle against the Space Pirates. Hence, the need for potion.

As for Ezio, I needed to get him a Mind Attack Resistance skill soon.

"It's tasty. There's nothing bad in either." Thankfully, Ezio came to my rescue. But holy hell, this guy was dumb. Didn't his parents teach him to not drink anything from strangers?

Oh wait, he was an orphan. My bad.

In the game, the players chose Ezio's personality and Talent.

It looks like he was supposed to be stupid originally. As for his Talent, I had no idea what it was.

"Thanks," Liam spoke in a barely audible whisper and downed the potion.

I returned to my seat.

"It's a relief."

"What is?" Doll turned to me.

"Nothing. Just talking to myself."

If this was the first timeline, where Ezio didn't had his cheat, I would've had to interfere with the story heavily. But it wasn't.

I could rest easy and focus on my plans now.

The introduction ended after Liam and Ezio entered due to time constraints.

I was one of those who didn't get a chance.

Later, we attended several theory classes.

"Can someone explain why warp technology isn't possible?" The Quantum Science professor asked.

Doll answered.

I didn't understand a thing, but I paid attention. As a Magician, I got Experience points from studying and researching Mana.

All classes had their own ways of gaining experience points.

Fighter could gain experience points by training their bodies. Astral Weavers could do the same by offering sacrifices to their contractors.

Genius was the production class. They create Genius tech depending on their Talent. Doing so gave them experience points.

Mutants needed to eat the meat of rare beasts.

The experience points gained this way were pitiful in numbers. But a drowning man would clutch at a straw.

"Does anybody know about the Eternal Burning Galaxy?" The Outer space exploration professor questioned.

Doll was the one to answer.

"Why can't we gain Astral Weaver Class by consuming a monster core?" asked the Professor of 'Superpowers and their relation to Higher Dimension'.

Doll explained the difference between the Classes in detail.

"Who was the first metahuman and what was his class?" The History professor stared at the class with his hawk-like gaze.

Again, Doll raised her hand.

The professor ignored her and pointed at Sean, "You, answer!"

After the tiring day, barely anyone focused on the class. The professor wanted to scold us and Sean caught his gaze as he was sitting near Doll.

"Telepath. He was Mutant." Sean answered smoothly,

I shook my head.

Telepath was actually a Genius, contrary to the common belief that she was a Mutant or Astral Weaver. Also, Telepath was a woman.

Just as thought that Sean would be scolded, the professor said, "Correct. Now, you answer. Where was the Scavenger Patrol Act signed?"

Professor James was pointing at me.

"Wasn't Telepath a woman and a Genius?" I stood up and tried to divert the topic as I didn't know the answer to the question asked to me.

"Nonsense, how do you not know about something so basic?" Professor James stared at me scornfully.

I turned to Doll sitting next to me. Her face was saying the same thing as the professor.

Professor James ignored my confusion.

"Tsk tsk what is the Admission Cell doing? How did someone as green as you enter the Academy?"

He continued with a disdainful expression, "Sigh, I don't want to give negative credits on the first day. I'll let you go if you answer the question. Where was the Scavenger Patrol Act signed?"

"On the bottom of the page."

He stared at me.

"..."

"..."

Professor James suddenly smiled.

"Get out."
