Chapter 1 - I.B.I.P. INTERVIEW [MAY 12 2089]

[I.B.I.P. INTERVIEW 2089, ACQUIRED FOOTAGE]

"Rather than throwing them away like a lab rat, I have found a solution to their problems like failing health and mental issues. Operating the Gigantia is pretty hard, and it requires strong will and mental power to fully master using it, and thus the pilots may have taken a toll on fighting those aliens, damaging their brain and body; which results to mental illnesses. The president of I.B.I.P. (International Bureau of Information and Protection),the one who designed Gigantia; stated that rubbish minds cannot operate the mechanical battle robot anymore, firing those poor minds and leaving them rot under history. But I ought to change that; I have found a way to use those poor beings, suicidal, mentally ill, and crazy people who had their lives twisted because of protecting us from aliens. I devised a project; the I.B.I.P. had agreed with me on this one: PROJECT DEATH MARCH. "

-Professor Victor Wickham, leader of the Project Death March, News Interview (2089)

"What is the Project Death March's main goal? And how they work? I would say that is a very good question.Well mainly; our goal is to use an alternative method of using mentally damaged peoplefrom operating Gigantia, instead of disposing them like tissues. We ought to help them heal those mental scars from a traumatic battle against aliens. With the use of newly found technology we're currently working on,we can use those people to fight against the enemy as themselves, no robots, no mechanical work, and no use of draining their energy through wires.I wish to use them in a real battlefield using their depressed minds, but of course; their safety comes first, after all; mentally ill people vow to kill themselves one day right? Then we shall use that determination to face the enemy without any fear of death. These people under Project Death March; will be:highly trained and skillful, healing scars from mental problems from their past, and also their longing wish to die."
