Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Villainess, for a reason.

The tear returns to the third eye, as she pours it down slowly.

Beneath the moon's soft glow, Celestia's pulse quickened with nervous excitement. She held the small vial in her hands, its contents shimmering like liquid magic. With a deep breath, she unscrewed the cap, her fingers trembling slightly.

As the tear slid down her forehead, even her unconscious mind knew at that moment, it was as if the universe whispered secrets directly into her heart, and she listened with rapt attention.

Leon watches the pink cased bottle, 'Eugh! To think they store his tears in a pink case, are they mocking his emo nature?'

Leon shrugs his shoulders and thinks, 'Well, I've temporarily solved this, for now.'

Amidst the quiet of the night, Celestia stood, a mere mortal touched by something divine. The third eye on Celestia's forehead closes slowly and reopens.

Celestia stands on the side, not so ominously as before. She looks over at the ceiling before speaking, "Alright kid, you win."

Leon is in a somber corner, his legs contorted backward against the wall. He watches intently with a nod, his gaze fixed on Celestia in the distance. The silence is palpable, his presence barely noticeable amidst the shadows but his red glowing eyes.

...

Celestia scoffs.

"I remember the day, my billions of children were slaughtered."

Leon rubs his nose and speaks, "By children, you mean those eyeball thingy?"

...

Celestia nods before continuing, "Those Comuthal Bastards forgot what I've done for them."

Leon looks over to the window and thinks, 'Oh my god, why is he going on a flashback now, of all time? I haven't got a bit of sleep!'

"I remember they pierced seven swords through my chest, each one for the atrocities I've committed. They used my own words against me and dethroned me. Even the dumb god, refused to acknowledge my existence, causing me to lose all my powers, trillions of years of knowledge, everything just because I loved a human, dearly enough."

The third eye flinches suddenly.

The eyes on the room suddenly disappear, and everything goes back to normal, but for the pink lights through the flashing and fluttering window sheets.

The third eye closes and Celestia's shimmering orange eye opens slowly. Her restless eyes and eyebrows twitched but her poker face did not leave her face.

"Are you okay, Lady Celestia?" Leon extends his hands.

"W-what am I doing here?" Celestia looks over to the sword in her hand, before hastily throwing it away. She looks over to Leon, with both eyebrows raised and her hands covering her mouth, and questions, "Did I-I hurt you?"

...

Leon shakes his head off and answers, "I just had an accident."

But Celestia's panic only intensified, her chest tightening with each ragged breath. "I... I-- I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry," she stammered, her words tumbling out in a torrent of desperation.

"Lady Celestia, please calm down. It's just a scratch," Leon urged.

But Celestia's mind was a tempest of irrational fear, her thoughts spiraling into madness.

"What if it's worse than a scratch? What if I've done something terrible?" she whispered, her voice trembling with anguish.

Leon sighs and picks up the sword placing it sideways on the wall. He walks up to Celestia and speaks slowly, "Forgive me for my insolence."

Leon gently grasped her by the shoulder, carefully lifting her off the ground and placing her softly on the edge of the bed.

Leon's eyes fixate on Celestia's face, admiring the natural beauty that emanates from her features. He notices the way her long lashes flutter against her skin as she blinks away tears and the way her full lips quiver slightly.

Despite her emotional state, her eyes remain open wide. Leon's heart skips a beat, 'Her personality is totally fucking different! Is it cause she is still a child?'

'To think that the person I've always admired would be worried about me.' Leon's hands fidget in happiness while he can't hold back a grin. He smirks when he suddenly notices the shoes she's wearing.

...

"You did nothing wrong, Lady Celestia. I'm just a little bit clumsy." Leon smirks while looking at her face. Celestia lets out a big sigh, "I-is that so? Are you well?"

"Where will I get a master who cares this much for their 'clumsy' butler?" Leon adds to the conversation while looking up at her, while he kneels down.

Celestia softly smiles and replies while tilting her head, "Are you sure that I was supposed to take such a butler?' Leon shrugs his shoulder.

He watches the shoes before touching them slightly. Celestia flinches as she retreats her legs.

Leon's frustration was evident as he carefully tries to remove the tiny shoes from her feet. "I knew it," he exclaimed, "These royal people have such stupid rules. How could they expect her to wear shoes that are clearly too small? It's stupid!"

Her feet perched on Leon's lap. She watched him intently as he worked to take off the shoes.

"Seriously, Lady Celestia, these shoes are way too small for you! Why can't you just ask for new pairs?" Leon grumbled, his brow furrowed in concentration as he carefully removed her shoes. "You need to take better care of your feet."

Celestia bit her lip, feeling a flush rise to her cheeks. She knew Leon was right; her forced habit of squeezing into too-tight shoes was catching up with her. But as much as she appreciated his help, there was something more stirring within her, something she couldn't quite put into words.

His fingers brushed against her skin, and she couldn't help but shiver at the sensation. It was such a simple gesture, yet it sent a jolt of electricity coursing through her body.

"What are you thinking about, Lady Celestia?" Leon asked, breaking the silence as he glanced up at her.

Caught off guard, Celestia quickly averted her gaze, feeling a blush spread across her cheeks. "N-nothing, just... thankful to you, that's all."

Leon raises his eyebrows while he thinks, 'No fucking way, The ice-cold villainess first apologized and then said thank you.'

But her mind was anything but silent. As Leon continued to work, she found herself lost in a whirlwind of thoughts. Maybe it was the gentle warmth of his touch, that made her heart tingle.

"You know, Lady Celestia," Leon said suddenly, interrupting her thoughts, "I've been meaning to tell you..."

Her heart skipped a beat, anticipation coursing through her veins.

'What was he going to say? Could it be...?'

But before she could dwell on it any longer, Leon's voice cut through the air, pulling her back to reality.

"...that you really need to invest in some better shoes," he finished with a chuckle, holding up her worn-out pair in his hands.

...

Celestia's mouth drops open before she quickly retreats her legs from Leon's lap and rolls around the bed. Leon stands up while tilting his head in confusion.

"Is anything wrong, Lady Celestia?"

Celestia shoos her hands, back and forth.

Leon rubs his head, 'Was my joke that bad?'

...

As Leon leaves the room, Celestia bites her pillow while scratching it repeatedly while her face becomes extremely red as a cherry.
