"Why should I believe you?" Yuden arched an eyebrow, his tone skeptical.
"It's not as if you have a choice," Ruhyan smirked, his confidence evident.
Yuden winced inwardly at Ruhyan's brazen response.
He didn't have a choice? What did Ruhyan mean by that? Yuden speculated that perhaps he was alluding to the situation in Monicia, but how could this creature be privy to such information? It was undoubtedly their first encounter. Yet, a sudden recollection surged through Yuden's mind.
This wasn't their initial meeting. Yuden had encountered this very monster in the cave several months ago!
Suppressing any further response, the young man resolved to speak with Ruhyan privately.
"Your Highness, the queen dowager requests your presence in her study. She instructed me to escort you," a maid announced after tapping on the door twice.
