"What if I also ask you to forgive me? Would you do that for me too?"
Michael's soft gaze is doing more than he knows. I hold his gaze for as long as I can. The gorgeous gray eyes still have the same effect on me.
"I want to get out of here. But asking me to let go of everything you did to me is a whole new thing. Where do I start from?"
He shuts his eyes as he absorbs my words.
I know that I am getting to him. My words are doing what they are supposed to do, making him feel sorry for everything he has ever done to me. So I continue, choosing to guilt trip him more.
"Is it the cheating? The lies? Going back on your words after you promised me never to have anything to do with drugs again."
"I thought you had forgiven me for the cheating? Isn't it like a one time thing back in that hell hole? Besides, I explained to you how miserable I was."
