None of my coherent words are enough to stop Dave. He nearly threw our apartment upside-down just because he was searching for Michael.
"I told you he is no longer here," I tell him gently, "he probably left through the back door."
Dave glares back at me, "I'm no fool that you can deceive. I saw him enter the apartment just a few minutes ago and there is no back door in this apartment."
"Sir, you need to see something," one of my colleagues reports to Dave. The pride glowing on his face tells me that he might have found a clue about either where Michael is hiding or how he had escaped.
"Come and show me, boy!" Dave marches out with him.
I stand there, thinking and contemplating whether to follow him or to escape myself. After all, it's not as if I will be returning to my former job, so why show interest in it.
I had just turned to go with the latter when Dorathy appears out of nowhere in front of me.
