Lights, Camera, Action!
Literally. I am ready for the new scene we are continuing today. It should have been shot yesterday, but since the lead actor came to the set late, the director chose to shift it to today.
The role I am playing is exciting and challenging at the same time. Having to act as a midwife who is suffering from schizophrenia. She is a serial killer, whose targets are newborn babies.
"Are you ready, my darling?" the director asks me.
I find it cute anytime he calls me that. Not because I find the short and round-bellied man attractive. His work ethic is what I admire. He knows how to be strict, without being rude.
"Sure!" I announce, stepping into the makeshift hospital on set.
"I'm sure you already know the scene we are shooting today, right?"
"Yes. The part where she was caught murdering the babies."
"Trying to murder the babies," he gently corrects, "The detective caught her red-handed, remember?"
