The Twin quickly turned his head to the crowd beside him. A smile appeared on his face: "First, I must explore your inner selves, then, step by step, we will reach the ultimate perfect ending." He began to stroll in the middle of the city; people, frightened by his two different pupils, would look and immediately turn away. The Twin paid no attention, observed the surroundings, entered shops, and discovered new tools.
"Shortages create needs. Needs, in turn, drive the creation of these new things. Hehehee, people develop themselves through this process. The expected rise after a rapid fall, they have finally managed to improve their quality of life. The one causing this is quite evident," he grinned, looking at the giant statue in front of him. The golden inscription beneath the statue read, "Our noble savior, the hero of the new era, Mac Shizen."
The Twin continued to wander around; people were going about their daily lives as if nothing had happened. A whole new life. The Twin remembered some faces, people who, like him, had grown up in that dark city; they all seemed content with their current lives. "I'll need to take a closer look at this," he silently observed a young man reaching for a woman's bag in the crowd; his expression was filled with fear. Slowly, he continued to extend his hand towards the bag; his figure remained indistinguishable among the crowd. The Twin continued to watch silently, "A perfect show to explore the system here, although it's already clear what's going on."
He looked at the cowboy-hat-wearing man who had greeted him when he first arrived in the city, walking with his guards across the street. The young man grabbed the bag and started running fast. "Stop, in your tracks, criminal!" The cowboy-hat-wearing man signaled to his two guards, and both started chasing the young man. The young man, pushing people aside in fear, was running; finally, a man tackled him to the ground. "What you did is not acceptable, young man." "I-I'm really sorry, I just had to do it." "Nothing can force us to commit crimes. Two guards reached the boy and stood on either side, the cowboy-hat-wearing man walked slowly towards the young man, standing in front of him. "This is a place where everyone should live peacefully without fear. You, on the other hand, are disrupting this order; people stopped committing crimes long ago. We've already broken that nasty order, and we won't let it come back. What you're doing now is a great crime; taking something that people rightfully earned. It's a big stain on our city." "Please, don't do anything to the kid; I'm sure he has valid reasons. Besides, I don't think this is a major crime." The woman, whose bag was stolen, extended her hand to the young man, helping him up. "See, I'm getting my bag back now." She put her bag back on her shoulder; the young man lowered his face, unable to look at anyone. "Say what you will, madam. This is a crime; every crime has its punishment, RIGHT, PEOPLE?" Some in the gathering crowd looked at the child with pity, but another substantial group, not to be underestimated, shouted "YES" in agreement with the cowboy-hat-wearing man. "If we ignore evil just because it seems small and do nothing, evil grows, and we return to the old days. AS YOUR PRESIDENT NICO, I SWEAR TO YOU THAT I WILL NEVER SHOW YOU THESE DAYS. I THANK YOU INFINITELY FOR SEEING ME AS YOUR PRESIDENT... I WILL CONTINUE TO CARRY OUT MY DUTIES, NEVER TIRED." The crowd began to cheer for President Nico. Nico, smiling at his people, grabbed the young man by the arm: "Now it's time for justice." Together with the young man, they began to move away from the midst of the cheers. Many in the crowd followed them. "Ah, how ostentatious," some of the crowd hated Nico's attitude.
The Twin's eyes were ablaze; a storm was brewing inside him. "The things needed for the grand finale are coming to light, hehehee," he continued to move forward slowly; his feelings were swelling with each passing moment. In his mind, there was nothing but the grand finale.
