During the lunch break, the cast gathered around Lucas and Jennifer. Even after a few days, the crew and cast were still reeling about the news of their relationship.
Elizabeth narrowed her eyes, addressing Jennifer, "No wonder you two were acting a little too close. So, it's true? You two are...?"
Jennifer's cheeks flushed, but she nodded, unable to hide her shy smile. Willow Shields squealed, her eyes twinkling in excitement. "When did you guys... start... you know...?"
Jennifer looked at Lucas, her gaze seeking his permission. He chuckled, looping his arm around her waist, "Well, since the cat's out of the bag, might as well spill it. We've been together since before we were even cast in the first Hunger Games."
The cast gasped in unison, exchanging incredulous glances. Willow's jaw hung open, "Woah... You mean you've been together that long and none of us knew?"
Lucas and Jennifer exchanged knowing looks, Jennifer's hand finding its way into his. "We've always been good at keeping secrets."
As the cast and crew continued to chat with Lucas and Jennifer, Lenny Kravitz interjected, "You two do know that once it's out, not only us and the crew will know, right? Once we wrap up shooting, this could be all over the internet and the media."
Lucas laughed, "You just had to turn this into an interview, didn't you?" The others chuckled, and the tension eased up a bit.
Francis called out, "Lunch break almost up, everyone. Prepare for the next scene." The cast dispersed, leaving Lucas and Jennifer alone with each other.
However, they were not alone for long. Suzanne Collins, the author of the Hunger Games series, approached them. "You two, you've really become just like Katniss and Peeta, haven't you?" she chuckled, amused.
Jennifer blushed.
Lucas said, "We hope our relationship won't be a problem for the production."
Suzanne waved her hand dismissively, "No, no, no. In fact, it'll only make your performances more believable as Katniss and Peeta's fake relationship deepens."
Jennifer breathed a sigh of relief, "That's a relief."
Suzanne patted them both on the back, "Don't worry about it. Just focus on your acting. You're both doing a fantastic job, and that's all that matters. The rest will sort itself out."
Lucas lowered his voice, "Suzanne, I just want to apologize if we ruined the kissing scene between Katniss and Gale... I know it's important for the plot."
Suzanne smiled understandingly. "Don't worry about it. I know you two will be fine with those scenes when your significant other isn't on set, right?"
Jennifer blushed, but Lucas smiled, "You're right. We respect each other, so we couldn't do it in front of each other."
Suzanne chuckled, "I was kidding, you know. I'm impressed by your commitment. Most Hollywood couples wouldn't have cared."
Lucas and Jennifer exchanged a smile.

The cameras started rolling, and the scene began. The scene took place in the setting of Katniss's home, where Paula Malcomson, who plays her mother, ushered in a bubbly Elizabeth Banks, who portrayed Effie Trinket. Behind her, Bruce Bundy as Octavia and Nelson Ascancio as Flavius followed.
As soon as "Action" was called, Elizabeth as Effie rushed forward, her arms wide open, "There she is, my greatest triumph!"
Bruce, in his role as Octavia, gasped, "The girl on fire!"
Nelson, as Flavius, couldn't contain his excitement either, "Our little superstar!"
In character, Jennifer as Katniss reluctantly but lovingly accepted their hugs and air kisses, feeling the warmth of their affection.
However, as they were about to move on to the next line, Elizabeth, aka Effie, pulled away from Jennifer and gasped, "Oh, dear God!"
Jennifer, staying in her character as Katniss, responded with concern, "What's wrong?"
In character, Bruce as Octavia grabbed Jennifer's hand, aghast, "Your eyebrows! You promised not to touch your hair! And what did you cut your nails with? A butcher knife?"
Nelson, as Flavius, intervened, "Leave her alone! Sweetie, we've missed you!"
Jennifer, in the role of Katniss couldn't helped but feeling the genuine warmth of their concern, smiled—it seemed that their characters weren't the only ones who missed her. The cast really had missed her since the last "Hunger Games" film.
Effie barely managed to hide her annoyance before changing the subject, "Of course, you've heard of Cinna?"
Katniss feigned surprise, "What happened?"
Elizabeth looked at her with a mixture of disbelief and excitement, "What happened? You're his muse! How could you not know? He's a fashion god! He's changed everything! Everyone wants to wear his clothes!"
Just then, Lenny Kravitz, in character as Cinna, strolled onto the set, "Not everyone."
Jennifer as Katniss greeted him with a warm smile, "Hey, Cinna."
The scene continued without Francis, the director, calling cut. The actors continued to play out the scene, which depicted the reunion of old friends. The chemistry between the cast members made it feel like they were truly catching up after a long absence.
After a short hour break, the next scene was ready to be filmed. Jennifer, as Katniss, pushed open the door of her house, or rather, a prop door on set. The booming voice of Stanley Tucci, recorded in post-production, played in the background, "There she is! Katniss Everdeen!"
Jennifer smiled at the lighting, which was just a basic green structure that would later be edited into a futuristic camera. Meanwhile, Lucas, as Peeta, emerged from his own prop door down the street. Beside them, their stylists, faced off in a friendly yet competitive manner.
The voice of Caesar continued, "And there he is! Peeta Mellark!"
Lucas, in character as Peeta, spotted Jennifer and broke into a genuine grin. They both approached each other, but instead of stopping for a hug, Jennifer, improvising, threw her arms around Lucas, and they both tumbled to the ground, laughing.
"Whoa! Trouble in paradise!" Stanley's voice, as Caesar, exclaimed over the speakers.
The camera closed in on Lucas and Jennifer, capturing every passionate moment as their characters, Peeta and Katniss, shared a heated kiss. As Jennifer, as Katniss, initiated the kiss, Lucas, in character as Peeta, responded just as fervently. They were completely lost in each other's arms, their lips moving together in a dance that spoke volumes of their characters' pent-up desire.
The crew and cast members, well-accustomed to intimate scenes in the industry, couldn't help but blush. There was something different about this particular kiss between Lucas and Jennifer. It was not just the intensity, but also the undeniable love that radiated between them.
The two actors would have continued the passionate embrace if it weren't for Francis Lawrence, the director, yelling "Cut!"
The sound of applause and cheering filled the set, and even the most seasoned crew members couldn't help but stare at the electric chemistry between Lucas and Jennifer.
"You two were on fire out there," Francis chuckled, unable to contain his amusement as Jennifer and Lucas joined him in front of the monitor, replaying the steamy kissing scene.
"Sorry, we kind of got lost in the moment," Lucas chuckled, his cheeks tinting a shade of pink.
Francis chuckled. "No, no, it's fine. That kind of passion is exactly what we need for the movie. Just make sure to keep it under control, alright? We don't want any jealousy spreading around the set."
They share a light-hearted conversation before moving on with the shoot. The day's production continued until finally, the night fell.
With the cast and crew now aware of their relationship, Lucas felt at ease as he entered Jennifer's trailer. The privacy of her trailer was a welcome respite from the buzzing energy of the set.
"Finally, some alone time," Jennifer sighed, collapsing onto the couch and kicking off her shoes.
"I know, right?" Lucas agreed, joining her on the couch. "You know, our kiss today... it was electric."
"It's because we're not really acting anymore," Jennifer confessed, blushing slightly. "I mean, we're still in character, but... you know what I mean."
Lucas nodded, understanding her perfectly.
Jennifer glanced at Lucas, her eyes landing on the guitar bag slung over his shoulder. "What's with the guitar?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.
Lucas smiled as he sat on the bed, settling the guitar in his lap. "I've been working on something for our project," he explained, his fingers idly strumming a few chords.
Jennifer's eyes widened, and she couldn't contain her excitement. "You're actually going to let me hear the song you've composed first?" she gasped, her grin matching his.
Lucas strummed the guitar, his fingers dancing over the strings with practiced ease. He was about to sing a song that, in his previous life, had been composed by Coldplay for the movie "Hunger Games: Catching Fire." However, in this reality, the band had never existed. Lucas had brought the melody with him to this world, eager to share its beauty with Jennifer.
Lucas strummed the guitar, his voice rising with the first line: "Some saw the sun, some saw the smoke. Some heard the gun, some bent the bow." The haunting lyrics and somber melody instantly took Jennifer back to the story of "Hunger Games".
"Sometimes the wire must tense for the note, caught in the fire, say oh, we're about to explode," Lucas continued, his voice full of emotion. Jennifer couldn't help but smile at the heartfelt delivery.
The chorus hit: "Carry your world, I'll carry your world. Carry your world, I'll carry your world." The words resonated with Jennifer, and she felt fortunate to be one of the first to hear this original song.
Lucas's voice carried on. "Some far away, some search for gold, some dragon to slay. Heaven we hope, is just up the road. Show me the way, Lord, 'cause I am about to explode."
As the song reached its climax, Lucas sang, "Carry your world, I'll carry your world. Carry your world, I'll carry your world. Carry your world, and all your hurt."
The final notes drifted into the air, and as Lucas strummed the last chord, silence fell over the room. Jennifer's applause was genuine, reflecting her deep admiration for the heartfelt performance.
