He reached the Idumbankari river Parisil Thurai. One of the boatmen asked, "Are you coming to the other side, father?"
"No, I'm going to come in the next boat; You go!" said Idumbankari.
"Oh! Is that all? I stopped the boat after seeing the speed at which you were coming!" said the boatman and scored a goal and steered the boat into the river.
By this time Thirumalai had climbed up to the middle of the pipal tree and sat down well and said, "Oho! I was right. He did not get into the boat; Hes going to come back. When he arrives, he has to see which way he is going. I saw very well that his hands showed the machahasta mudra. What does that mean? Fish! Fish! What does the fish symbol represent? Aa! Isn't the fish inscribed on Pandiyan's flag? Perhaps, wow.. Could it be so! See you! Let's have some patience and see. The one who is tolerant will rule the earth, the one who is upright will rule the forest... But nowadays it seems better to rule the forest than the earth! But let's wait and see.." Thus Tirumalai was saying to the impersonal Vedalam in the pipal tree.
Soon it happened just as he had expected; The boat did not carry Idumbankari at all. Idumbankari stared at the peepal tree from the bank of the river. Then he looked in all directions. Knowing full well that Azhvarkadiyan was nowhere to be seen, he returned to the same pipal tree. He looked around one more time and sat down under the tree. His eyes roamed in all directions, as if expecting something or someone. But he didn't just look up at the tree. Even if he had, Idumbankari would not have known that he was sitting on the tree as Tirumalai was covering his body well.
This went on for about an hour. Tirumalai's legs began to turn numb. It seemed that he could not stay on the tree any longer. Idumban did not seem to be the way to get up from under the tree. How to escape! No matter how carefully you descend on the other side of the tree, you will not fail to hear a sound! If asked, Idumbankari will see it immediately. What else to do? Should we jump on Idumban with a terrible noise like a ghost? If he jumps, he might think he was a demon and faint out of fear. Or try to run away! At that time he too could flee... When Thirumalai thought thus, it seemed that his experiment would be over. A man was coming from the southwest, that is, along the Kudanthai road. Thirumalai's intuition said that Idumbankari had been waiting for him for so long.
Idumban who was sitting under the pipal tree stood up when he saw the new man coming. He came and did the gesture made by Idumban earlier. That is, he placed another outstretched hand on one outstretched palm, and waved two thumbs, making a mole signal; Seeing this, Idumban also did the same.
"What is your name?" asked the visitor.
"My name is Idumbankari; Your name?"
"Soman Sambavan!"
"I was expecting you."
"I came looking for you, too."
"Which direction should we go?"
"To the west!"
"To what place?"
"To the enemy's school!"
"Near Thirupurampayam..."
"Don't talk loudly! Someone is going to hear it," said Soman Sambavan, looking all around.

Idumbankari went westwards along the banks of Kollidam. A little behind him followed Soman Sambavan. Azhvarkadiyan remained on the tree until both of them disappeared from sight. He was watching and listening to everything.
Wow! Time is wicked! All the unexpected things happen. By the grace of God, we have had the opportunity to know some great and mysterious thing, and now it depends on our ability to know the matter. There was only a room in Kadampoor mansion. Dont be fooled like that here. Tirupurampayam – Pallipadai means the pallipadai of Ganga king Prithiveepathi. That school was built a hundred years ago. Therefore it is desolate; The forest is all around; The village is some distance away, and why are they going there? If these two were the only things to talk about, they would talk here. You don't have to go a mile through the forest, do you? So it is certain that there will be a few more to come. For what? Why would one of them call Prithvipati's school army 'the enemy's school army'? Whose enemy is Prithivipati? Aha! What we thought seems to be true! You can see it for anything. They are going along the banks of Kollidam. Let's go with the sand. Even if the forest is more dense on the soil shore, it is not harmful. What goal do we have of forests, mounds, thorns and stones? They are the ones who should be afraid of us...
Thinking like this and muttering with his mouth, Tirumalai descended from the pipal tree and went a little south. He came to the river Manniar and walked westward along its bank. Azhvarkadiyan entered through the dense forests and reached the Pallipadai temple in Tirupurampayam at sunset.
