Chapter 30 - Blessing of weapons

Ah! My hand!

The green-clad woman, witnessing her left arm severed at the elbow, burst into a poignant and sorrowful cry. The way her tears and mucus flowed together exhibited none of the previous arrogant demeanor.

"Pah! Only a blind fool would set eyes on you! For the last time, hand over the goods, or..." The captain in red armor took the wolf-tooth club handed by his companion, reprimanding.

Weng Ling frowned and shook her head.

"It's useless. Even if you give it to them now, they can still kill you. Moreover..."

She initially thought the other side was just a temporary alliance of goblins, but she didn't expect a goblin leader to appear. It seemed that this was an endless struggle.

Goods?

Even the most precious item couldn't match the urgency of this intelligence!

The other side would definitely spare no effort to kill them all, even reaching as far as the city of Loran...

"I hope he can safely return to the city..."

However, the situation no longer allowed her to dwell on such thoughts. The goblins had charged to a distance of twenty steps from her, and even goblin archers and spear throwers had begun their attacks!

In an instant, the sky seemed to be covered by a dark cloud, and hundreds of arrows and over two hundred javelins flew towards them.

"Darn it! Since we can't outrun them anyway, let's fight them!" The captain in red armor, observing the scene, raised his club angrily and declared.

"Lord Weng, I, Hong Feng, will fight alongside you and these creatures today!"

"And me! Shi Guanghui!"

"Duzi!"

"Mao Wang!"

"And us, Liu Xu!"

"Zhu Hua!"

"Tian... Tian Ge!"

Seeing that her teammates hadn't abandoned her, even the three subordinates of the stern green tea followed suit. Hong Feng couldn't help but be filled with pride.

"Hahaha, good! Good brothers and sisters! Follow me into battle!"

Swinging his club, Hong Feng rushed to the front, swirling the massive wolf-tooth club into a whirlwind, blocking the incoming projectiles with a resounding clang.

Shi Guanghui, wielding a serrated knife, followed suit, helping Hong Feng knock away the oncoming spears.

However, Duzi, carrying a shield and ready to support, suddenly stumbled. An arrow pierced through his knee, and in the moment of imbalance, he turned into a hedgehog.

Mao Wang, with a long spear, imitated Hong Feng's spinning technique to deflect arrows for the three women beside him. However, it was evident that his speed and strength were lacking. After only eight turns, he was pierced through his chest. In his last moments, he used the spear to support himself, creating a bit of cover for those behind him.

The unnamed green-clad woman and Captain Yan, who didn't step forward, were pierced through the back of their heads by javelins after just a few steps, and white and red fluids flowed onto the ground. The remaining three women, using their respective techniques, barely resisted for a few breaths. Only one named Tian Ge cried, trembling behind Mao Wang's corpse.

In just the first wave of attacks, the human side was left with only Weng Ling, Hong Feng, and Shi Guanghui, who still possessed combat capabilities. In the face of overwhelming numbers, humans appeared fragile.

While Weng Ling, wielding an incredibly heavy war hammer, managed to deflect every arrow under her monstrous strength, she could only do so much. She couldn't assist Hong Feng and the others in their dire situation.

Fortunately, the opponents had now closed in. The goblins discarded their bows and arrows, drawing out knives and spears to surround them.

Tian Ge, who had lost her will to fight, was the first to be chopped into pieces by the chaotic blades. Shi Guanghui, after killing two goblins, was directly impaled by seven spears from behind, and as he died, he opened his mouth as if wanting to say something. However, his head was cut off by a goblin squad leader, who excitedly waved it in his hand.

"Good brothers, go well!"

Hong Feng, with tears in his tiger-like eyes, didn't even have time to wipe them away. He swung the wolf-tooth club fiercely, creating a clearing, and then rolled forward to avoid the incoming spears. However, he wasn't unscathed, as two goblins managed to slash his back, and in his astonishment, he swung the wolf-tooth club recklessly, breathing heavily and losing his composure. After all, he was just an ordinary adventurer, reaching this point was already commendable.

"Is this the end?"

In a daze, Hong Feng saw a machete heading towards his neck, but he was powerless to stop it. Despair flooded his mind.

Ding!

A sudden sound of metal striking interrupted his impending doom. Hong Feng looked up and saw a figure standing in front of him.

It turned out to be that pale-faced deaf mute?

"You..."

However, the other party paid him no attention, continuing to advance into the goblin horde with an odd gait.

"You bastard! Why are you back?!" Weng Ling, glancing over, almost had her hammer fly out of her hand in shock. She scolded through gritted teeth.

"Don't ask, I didn't want to!," Night Three, dodging various weapons thrust towards him, responded helplessly.

He genuinely didn't want to come back. However, when he just stepped out of the stone wall, a chilling aura suddenly emanated from the direction of Loran City.

His instincts told him that if he continued in that direction, he might die!

Even Old Gu and Dong Chenxi were the same. After approaching the stone wall, they didn't dare to take another step forward.

That formidable sense of oppression was like a sword slowly approaching his eyes, forcing him to retreat, unable to move forward.

However, when he reluctantly returned, he witnessed something interesting.

While Weng Ling was busy fighting the goblins, five more people had appeared beside the goblin leader - the Iron Axe team that had set out in the morning!

They were currently engaged in battle with the five goblin centurions standing beside the goblin leader. However, it seemed that their strength was insufficient, and they were completely overmatched.

A single centurion easily overwhelmed them, temporarily refraining from delivering a fatal blow, seemingly toying with them.

This was the reason Night Three decided to return to the enemy lines.

"Capture the leader first. Maybe if we subdue that old guy, we won't have to die. My constructions can be saved!"

Thinking this, Night Three turned back and shouted at Weng Ling, "You hold on, I'll be right back!"

"To hell with you..."

Weng Ling blushed, about to scold him, but when she saw Night Three's direction, she instantly understood his intentions.

"This idiot! Even if he can charge through, can he defeat the five centurions? No, I have to help him!"

After making up her mind, Weng Ling rubbed her index and middle fingers against the big black hammer, and a golden light instantly enveloped the black hammer, revealing the blessing skill of a cleric!

With the weapon blessed, the massive iron hammer became even lighter, but its

attack power remained undiminished. Weng Ling continuously swung the large hammer, charging forward like a raging rhinoceros. Soon, she caught up with Night Three.

"Bastard! What the hell do you want to do?! Didn't I ask you to deliver the message?!" Weng Ling, swinging her hammer to crush two goblin knife-wielders into meat sauce, shouted angrily.

Night Three swayed left and right, defensively wielding the long sword, avoiding a glance at Weng Ling's ferocious appearance. He muttered:

"What's the use of delivering the message? By the time reinforcements arrive, you'll all be dead!""
