The Syndicate headquarters buzzed with recruits training. Vixen surveyed them, judging strengths and flaws.
As training began, Emilia paced before the recruits, her voice booming.
"Today we assess your fighting skills. Only the most capable among you will advance to become Shadows. So give it your all and prove yourselves worthy!"
Her piercing gaze fixated on Vixen. "Vixen, you're up first against Daniella. She's scrappy and light on her feet - don't underestimate her. Use those instincts I've seen in you. Anticipate her moves, find weaknesses to exploit."
Vixen nodded, filled with determination.
The two women circled each other warily as the fight commenced. Daniella struck first, feinting left before diving right, trying to catch Vixen off guard. But Vixen was ready, sidestepping the attack.
"Yes! Good!" Emilia called out. "Now press back - don't let her lead."
