Chapter 48 - Chapter 47: Bones.

Under a flood of water was Kris. He wielded Transcendent in his hands and it was blazing with electricity.

He was facing against an army of thousands by himself.

"(Where is that thing?")" Kris inquired with a chill voice while he referred to Bo. "(Whatever, I don't need that thing anyway.)"

Kris tossed Transcendent in to the water and it then vanished, entering his inventory. He summoned Eden and Efriet in his hands.

One skeleton swung it's slim hand at Kris. The enemy was slow already and moved like a slug in the water. Kris simply swiped his dagger at the skeletons hand.

But then, Kris received massive knock back from an invisible force and was sent flying at immense speeds even though he was under water. He stopped then stopped in his tracks as he hit a wall, making a gigantic crack.

The next second, thousands of skeletons appeared at all sides. They began to swarm Kris but we're then easily handled. The foes were slashed into pieces by Kris, masterly wielding his daggers.

But that was not all of them. One knocked Kris in the back of the head with its thigh bone and another hit Kris in his stomach with its arm.

Kris then began to cough up blood from his mouth and blood began to leak from his nose. The water was then tinted red and Kris began to drown.

He gritted his teeth, still wearing a blank expression. His eyes glowed gold as he stabbed one of the skeletons in the eye and then slammed it into the ground, turning it into small pieces of sand.

The one that had hit Kris in the stomach then launched another attack, targeting its opponent's shoulder.

Kris stopped the attack by dodging, slashing of the skeletons arm and then flying kneeing the creature into the skull, crushing it.

Ten more came. Two held Kris by his arms, two held him by his legs and the remaining attack him with blunt force.

Kris was knocked in the stomach and he then groaned in agony, "Argh!"

He then lifted his head and slammed it on one of the skeletons heads, crushing it but making him receive some damage. His forehead was now bleeding.

"(Damn, these things are annoying.)" Kris said calmly in his mind.

His body was then engulfed in a bright blue mist and the surrounding mods were blasted away by the mysterious force.

Kris returned Transcendent to his inventory and then charged at the skeletons.

"(I'll just kill these hunk of bones with my bare hands.)" Kris said.

He grabbed two skeletons by the heads and smashed into pieces. He then grabbed one more and flung it at a skeleton that was charging after him.

One sneaked up on Kris from the back but failed to take him by surprise as Kris back kicked it into oblivion. Two came up on Kris by the front seeing as he was distracted. Kris flipped sides ways into the water and pierced the skeletons head with the tip his foot. He took out the other with a tornado kick to the head.

Kris pondered, "(These things are easy. Too easy.)"

"(Those piles bones haven't shown the prowess of a Boss-Grade threat and their fighting power is quite low. It is as they were recently created.)"

A skeleton then sneaked up behind Kris once again. It was going knock Kris in the back of his head with its flimsy knuckles.

"(Guess I'll have to find the parents for these things..)"

Kris elbowed the skeleton in the chest, making it shatter into pieces.

"(.. and kill them.)"

Bo on the other hand was relaxing on top of Leviathan who was cruising through the large expansion of water.

He was looking up at the dark void and pondered to himself.

"If this is Black Gate then it must have a Dungeon Keeper. The more powerful a Dungeon Keeper is the more they can bend their domain," Bo said while tapping his feet. "Seeing as of how big this place is it must be strong, and also lazy to just send it underlings after us."

Eventually they bunk up into a huge wall which was at the height of thirty meters.

"Huh? What's this?" Bo inquired.

He got up on his feet and began to investigate the new territory. He had incredible leaping strength, which meant he just had to jump over the wall.

In that piece of uncharted area was something Bo would never had expected. There was a gigantic pillar that was emitting dark mist from within it cracks. At the bottom was a door where dark creatures would emerge, screaming from either pain or confusion. But once they were out a being would touch them with its finger and all the flesh would melt away from them, reducing them to bones that released a dark mist from their being.

"What do we have here," said the being of decay, turning its eerie head towards Bo.

Bo didn't fear as he pondered, "Hmm, strange," while holding the weights of his head with his two fingers.

"These thing doesn't release a presence, smell or any sense of being. It if all that surrounds it is being rotten away," Bo concluded with a face of disgust yet was intrigued.

Bo wasn't exactly proud of his ability to create and control plants, as well as the dominance to make life. What was he - a gardener?

But today, Bo faced a challenge something that made him finally be grateful that had the powers he possessed. For some reason, he was repelled by that thing. A being of decay, a creature that could rot anything it touched to nothing, had appeared.

Bo felt as if he had to kill these thing as if it was his arch enemy.

"Hmm, I don't like that look on your face," said the creature with a grin. "Let me melt of that face of yours!"

The being came running towards Bo at the speed faster than a bullet. If he touched the creature, no, if he came near that thing he would die.

Using his powers, Bo summoned a thicket of thorny vines, hoping to trap the being of decay and keep it in place for another attack. But the creature simply laughed and reached out a decaying hand, causing the vines to wither and crumble to dust.

"Hahahaha! You think that could hold me?!" the being of decay asked with a ugly grin.

"You are right," Bo said.

Bo realized that he would have to use his powers in a different way if he wanted to defeat this entity of rot. He focused his mind, body and soul, ascending to new heights. He was now within the bounds of Soul Essence. His powers were brought to bigger heights now.

His body was engulfed in a bright green aura and his eyes blazed with newfound energy but his face of disgust reminded the same.

Bo scorned at the being as he said, "I feel like shit, but you are the shit!"

He summoned a huge tree that rose up from the ground, its branches tangled and intertwined, and it reached out to surround the being of decay.

The creature scoffed in glee as the tree's branches closed around it, holding it in place. But Bo knew that this wouldn't hold it. The branches suddenly began to rot.

"What is this?! A thought you were going to try something new," said the entity. "I have being caged in here by Father for eternity and you are now here to entertain me after all my hardship him. Come on! You must do better than that!"

"Shut up, I not your buddy," said Bo in a hypocritical way.

Bo using his mind, controlled the tree and made it launch the being of decay into the air. After that the tree turned to ash and then to oblivion.

The entity inquired in confusion yet excitement, "Hmm?"

The being of decay struggled and fought, but it was found out quickly that it couldn't fight against the imaginary force of air. Slowly but surely, the creature was pulled up into the void.

"Damn it, why am I so high up?! I want to be back dow-" the being of destruction was then interrupted.

A gigantic hand had stomped the entity back to the ground. It was obviously the creation of Bo.

"Ahhh!" it scream sarcastically.

The had was then evaporated to nothingness.

The being rose "I am bac-!"

The entity was slammed into the ground again, then again, then again. Over, and over, and over again.

"Shut the hell up," Bo said mockingly.

For some reason, he sounded insane hypocritical and scornful. It seem as if he hated this creature with a pride and was so hateful to it's existence that it found pleasure in its suffering.

"Actually, why does this feel good?" he asked himself.

He then squat down and peered at the being of decay. He was just a couple of inches away from the gigantic limbs stomping on the being and then disappearing.

He then told him,"Scream and I'll may let you go," in a psychological manner.

The leg that had hit the being decayed and it then said, "Nev-" but then was hit by a massively large knee.

It then said, "Okay!"

The bombarded of hits then stopped.

"So?" Bo inquired.

The being of decay then smiled as it launched itself at Bo.

"*Sigh*" Bo sighed.

The being of decay was once again slammed repeatedly in the ground.

Bo then said in a pleasured manner, "You that I couldn't kill with some rots, so how did you think I would? Bet you thought that I couldn't, but sadly these is where you die."

"Your health points will eventually decrease to zero and when happens that big guy up there will disappear," said Bo, but he then turned around and waved at the being with a creepy smile, "Later, loser."

But as he turned to leave, Bo couldn't help but feel a twinge of desire that he had to clench. He wanted to see that thing suffer, but he also knew that it is a living creature, with thoughts and feelings of its own. And he also wanted to keep himself mannered, so he locked those feels away.

In the end, Bo realized that even him as a soul had something that he had to hide.

But before that he tossed a seed in the area. Bo then jumped on top of Leviathan. The area was then turned into a jungle with the roots, vines and branches growing Infinitely and going upwards, towards the void.
