Chapter 14 - Chapter 15 – Bite Ant Dungeon.

The second group of ant monsters approached the pair of players fast.

"Oron. You up."

"On it!"

"[Piercing Bolt]."

Oron aimed with his crossbow and shot at one of the one of the ants approaching and hitting it right in the head and killing it. However, rest of the ants just crawled over the corpse of their comrade that just died and continue approaching the group.

"Oh. That was supposed to pierce through it. Damn. They really are tough." – said Oron while lowering his crossbow and extending his hand forward.

"[Fire Ball]!"

Oron shot a ball of fire at the ant monsters and upon impact it exploded, but the ants didn't care and continue approaching him.

"Oh shit. Em. Assist?"

"…Fine."

"[Attack Mark]."

Shri used her whip to attack one of the ants from afar and the spot that got hit by the whip left a glowing mark before disappearing.

"Amini. Shot."

The night owl made magic circle appear before a dark colored projectiles was fired at the ant monster that was hit with the whip. Upon contact the ant monster ended up getting knocked back, however it didn't stopped the rest of the ants.

The fight continues on with Shri using her whip and Oron using his crossbow and fire magic while the tamed monsters also provided support.

When the ant monsters finally got near the group the fight may seemed like it would become bit tougher, but it wasn't. The fight it self still seemed in the in the favor of the party, they were managing fighting the ant monster at the close range pretty well.

During all this time ClownFrog continue observing and not getting involved even one bit.

"…Huh."

(Would you look at that. They are quite good.)

(The elf may seemed like a bit pushover but he is quite good. Even when those ants are trying to bite him, he just dodge and use them to as pedestal to jump, trying to keep some distance while firing attacks from his crossbow and using spells.)

(Shri is quite skilled. The way she uses the whip to hit or counter the ants is pretty good. She also works well with her tamed monsters, cording attacks or even making opening for each other.)

(Honestly, she reminds me a bit about that PK gunman from before, but I can't say yet she is around the safe level as him or not in term of skills, since I have to see more of her fighting, but she is definitely skilled.)

(Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from theses two, but they are way better than I imagined.)

(But that doesn't mean I trust them yet because they are skilled.)

After some time, the last ant monster was killed by tamed monster lizard wolf Gog.

"So, how was it?" – asked Shri.

"…. You were quite good just now." – said ClownFrog.

"Thanks. You were pretty good as well." – replied Shri.

"I see. Well, now we know that you can handle yourself and you saw that we can handle ourselves. Shall we now explore the dungeon for real?" – said Shir.

"Yea. However before we go, we should talk about something. Specifically about those ants."– replied ClownFrog.

"We have a problem. Those ants seem pretty annoying. They have quiet high attack and defense."

"I can make my undead be our meat shields and took hit for us, so what do you think about it?"

"Hm…. Yea. I think this good idea? I mean, if some undeads die you can make new ones." – said Oron.

"What do you think sis?"

(Sis?)

The female demonoid hit the elf in the nuts.

"Fuking idiot. I told you not to call me that in the game."

(So, they are siblings huh?)

"Well, this idiot is correct. I agree with using your undead as the meat shields, but are you fine with that?" – asked Shri.

"Yea. I have mana potions in case something happens, but I would like to keep my undeads from falling below half if possible. I don't know if there would any monster in the boss room that I can kill and then use to make new undeads. However if something unexpected happened, don't hesitate to let my undeads all die out." – said ClownFrog.

The party continue exploring through the dungeon while killing any ant monsters they encounter along the way.

"Huh."

"What is it?" – asked Shri to ClownFrog.

"No, well…. This is the first time in the party and all. The things right now are going quiet well? I mean we do struggle a little bit sometimes when big groups comes, but overall things are going quiet smoothly?"

"Then I guess it was correct choice joining hands, am I right :3?" – asked Shri while looking smug.

"Well yea. But why you are looking so smug about this? You two would probably struggle as well if you didn't go in with me. You don't have nobody to tank damage for you." – said ClownFrog.

"Hey, don't mind the minor details."

"Minor details my ass!"

"But anyway, I think its going way too easy." – said ClownFrog.

"?"

"What do you mean by that?" – asked Oron.

"Well, this is from my own experience. I manage to found the uncleared single type dungeon in the starting place I chosen and beat it. The dungeon boss was quite annoying and hard. However, this dungeon difficulty is bit off?"

"When I left the starting area and headed to the city, the difference in monster strengths were VERY noticeable. However, what about the dungeons? Should the difficulty of beating the dungeon outside the starting area become noticeable as well?"

"Hm…. Honestly, we don't know how to answer that. The first dungeon we done before was repeat dungeon, so haven't done our self-raiding a single type dungeon. However, what you are saying is true then it's really weird." – said Oron.

"So, there is an option this dungeon is harder that it may seem. However, we can't be sure of that yet though. From what I read online, different dungeon had some people struggle a bit while some don't, some dungeons were harder to beat while some were quiet easy to beat, they had different difficulties. So, there is a chance that this dungeon just have low difficulty, but we still don't have any way of confirming this either. So just in case we should keep out guard up." – said Shri.

"Well, we have one way of finding out and it is just to beat the dungeon, but we have yet to do that." – said ClownFrog.

"!"

"Stop now." – said Shri.

ClownFrog immediately made all of his skeletons stop moving.

"What is it?" – asked Oron.

"Look up ahead." – said Shri while pointing her finger forward.

Shri noticed something up ahead, noticing an entrance to a different space.

(Did we by any chance already got to the boss?)

"Wait here."

Shri quickly moved up ahead in order to scout surroundings.

After some time, Shri gave hand signal for the other two to come to her.

"What is it?" – said ClownFrog with quiet voice while getting closer.

"!"

After both man got closer, they saw a wide open space with many different paths and ant monsters below them.

"Oh. Holy shit. There is a lot of them." – said Oron.

"And by look of things we will have to get through them all if we want to progress any further." – said ClownFrog.

"Yea. But look down over there. See those 3 different ants over there?" – said Shri while potting towards slightly bigger ants.

[Biting Ant Capitan – Level 25] x3

The three slightly bigger biting ant with unique look were standing in the middle of the room.

"I can kind of guess they are stronger variant of the regular biting ant. There is 3 of them and lot of these ants. Do we have plan or something?" – said Shri.

"Hm… Well, we can go full out. There is no need worry about undeads since there is a lot of these ants, I can use their corpse to restock my undeads. It should be bit problematic, but we should manage. However, we don't know if more ants won't pop up while we will be fighting or something. We also don't know how different those ant capitans are in the first place? Are they just better version with higher attack and defense, or by any chance they have some tricks like spewing acid or flames?" – said ClownFrog.

"Pretty much we have to "Fuck around and find out." While keeping out guard up."

"So, you ready to "Fuck around and find out"?" – asked ClownFrog.

Both Shri and Orion nodded in response.

"Well then, lets hope we don't die."

While the ants were still walking around a sudden explosion suddenly occurred in the middle, fallowed up by multiple smaller explosion caused by Orion and ClownFrog attacks from above.

The ant monster instantly noticed and realized what was going on, that they were being attacked. The ant monsters instantly noticed the pair of enemies above them.

The and monsters instantly tried making their way towards them while the spells were keep getting fired at them, but after getting half way there-

"GO!"

ClownFrog send all of his undead at the enemies, making them jump at the ants from above. The undead fought against the ants.

Unlike before there was way more ants, making the number advance of the undeads had before useless. The undeads were getting killed at rapid rate by the ants monsters, however whenever even a single ant died, its corpse was instantly used to make new undeads.

While the chaos of the battle was taking place between ants and undeads, the ant capitans tried joining in, but before they could do that, one of the three ants ended up being attacked by a whip attack and crossbow.

"As long I have corpse and mana, I can continue raising undeads. The mana isn't a problem since I came prepared with shit tons of potions, but the problem is with corpse. Those ants are bit tanky and can hit or two. We need to kill as many as possible of those ants if I want to keep up making undeads that will work as our meat shields. If all undeads are gone then we may end up taking way too much damage and even dying." – said ClownFrog before the fight started.

"Then we focus the small flies first and then go after big ones? Seem like a good idea." -said Shri.

"Me and Orion can try to slow down those 3 with some of our attacks, but the question is would that be enough."

"Well, the only way we have to find out is to try, unless you have different idea?" – asked ClownFrog.

"Hm…. Nope." – said Shri.

"Em…. I also got nothing." – said Orion.

"Well then, by the look of things we are going with this plan than." – said ClownFrog right before the battle started.
