"I don't have long to live."

Yu Sheng remain quiet for a couple minutes as his gaze pause on her face that didn't waver.
"Little Sheng?"
"H- How long..." Taking deep breaths Yu Sheng got the courage to ask.
"Two months."
Hearing how short she had to live Yu Sheng felt his heart was about to explode.
He spent almost half his life with her, providing for her knowing that she wouldn't be able to live long.
Yet he still wished, no- wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Maybe this is what you call true love.
He started thinking about how he first met her, how he was so immature and foolish to constantly challenge her. Maybe that's why her lifespan was decreasing at a rapid rate, maybe that's why she became a cripple....
These thoughts kept running in Yu Sheng mind as he kept blaming himself until tears started leaving his eyes.
As if hearing his soft whimpers Yin Qing'er questioned, "Do you remember those dreams we always have?"
Snapping out of his daze he replied, "Yes, but I stopped having mine a couple years ago."
"I know, but do you remember what was in those dreams?"
"A being that beauty could blind mortals, a being whose body wasn't made of flesh, bones or blood. A being whose hair created what seems to be multiply galaxy in her rainbow like hair....." Yu Sheng answers as he imagine the being he constantly saw in his dreams. "A being that seems to be rushing me to start a new."
"Do you know what she mean by 'start a new?'"
He thought about the question for a while before answering, "I don't."
"That's because you haven't been thinking about it."
"Then do you?"
"Yes, but do you truly want to know?"
"Please tell me..."
"It means to be reborn." Hearing this Yu Sheng was first stunned before he chuckled, wiping his tears from his eyes and said, "Reborn? Do you believe in stuff like reincarnation?" He laughed, trying to improve the mood.
But Yin Qing'er next words left him shocked, "I do."
"You can't be serious..."
"But I am." She said before Yu Sheng could continue, "Do you remember my dreams? In there I can see, smell, taste and move freely. There I have a mother, a father and loving brothers and sisters that care for me very much."
"In that dream I started as a baby and currently I am five years old there."
"I believe that if I were to ever die here then I would be losing one of my lives."
"My life here."
"..."
Yu Sheng went quiet again until he finally smiled, "If you truly believe in reincarnation then I guess you aren't scared of dying."
"Do you know what my parents in my dreams told me?" Yin Qing'er suddenly asked. "They told me that when people die they return to the embrace of their gods."
"That must be a wonderful world then." Yu Sheng said. Seeing that Yin Qing'er wasn't afraid of dying he felt slightly at ease.
She then started talking about her dream world. In that world she constantly saw people flying and people fighting.
In that world the people respects her and calls her the 'Prodigy Child' or the Child from the Prophecy.
Although Yu Sheng have heard about her dreams many times he always felt intrigued by them. He couldn't help but get absorbed into what she was saying.
They talked for many hours until it was soon midnight.
"I told my father I would visit today, but I guess I will cancel it and spend the next two months with you until you..." Yu Sheng suddenly said. A sad smile on his face as he look at Yin Qing'er.
"No Little Sheng. I won't be living for 2 months." Yin Qing'er suddenly said.
"But you-" Afraid that she was going to do something crazy Yu Sheng wanted to retort, but couldn't as Yin Qing'er next words shocked him.
"I am not going to wait for death to approach me, don't you think that's a bit... pathetic?" She laughed coldly with a small smile.
"I want to go outside, who knows maybe I will be able to feel and smell the fresh air."
Yu Sheng never expected to hear she say such a thing. "Are you saying that everyone who waits for death doors are pathetic?"
"Pretty much." He couldn't help but laugh when he heard that. "Are you not afraid of being cursed by certain people if they heard you?"
"Who cares I am going to die soon might as well say things I never would have said in this life."
"Also I once saw your dad having sex with my mom." She giggled as she thought about it, "I was rather fascinated by it that I spent the whole time watching them do it."
"I think it would have been best if I didn't know that..."
"Well now you do. However, its pretty sad I won't be able to experience it." She continued with a sorrowful smile before brightening up, "Maybe I will be able to experience it in my other life!"
"Don't you dare!" Yu Sheng quickly stopped her from thinking of such things, "Lets make a promise that you will wait for me. If I don't find you in a hundred years then... then you can do it with others!"
"A Hundred years? Do you think I can live that long?" Baffled she asked.
"I didn't think about that..." Hearing this Yu Sheng felt depressed. It's not like he could oof himself after she dies. Afterall, he has way too much in this life to give up on. He have this mother and father that cares for him unlike Yin Qing'er. He also made a promise to bring his family business to unimaginable heights. Something like that would probably take him at least 20 years.
To make things worse he didn't exactly believe in reincarnation. Only now after hearing about Yin Qing'er story did he star believing in it.
And even if reincarnation was real who says he will end up going to where Yin Qing'er is?
"Are you worried about not being able to come to my world?" Realizing that Yu Sheng have gone quiet she cheered him up, "Don't worry, I asked my elders about the being in your dreams and they told me she goes by the name Yinyue."
"She is the goddess of music." She said with a voice filled with envy, "Lucky for you that the person watching over you is the Goddess of Music."
"Anyways take my outside!" She swiftly got rid of her jealousy and yelled at Yu Sheng to take her outside.
Yu Sheng chuckled softly as he went to grab a wheelchair next to the bed and lift her body that was nearly weightless to him from the bed into the wheelchair.
He wanted to refuse her request to go outside, but knew he couldn't.
"Also bring my zither with you." Her last request made him raise his eyebrow in surprise, but he didn't ask why as he took it with him.
Soon they reached outside the mansion where the two guards were stationed. When they saw Yin Qing'er they were first shocked as this was the first time they saw her leave the mansion.
As for the servants they were already asleep as it was past midnight.
"Are we outside?" Yin Qing'er asked.
"Yes."
"Good, now lay me at the tree at the left." She commanded leaving Yu Sheng and the guards shocked.
'Isn't she blind?' The guards looked at each other with the same question in mind.
"How do you know there's a tree there?" Yu Sheng was the most shocked.
"To tell you the truth I was lying to you all this time." Yu Sheng hearing this expression harden, but what she said next left him in disbelief, "I am not a cripple nor am I blind."
"I can feel the breeze brushing pass my skin and smell the fresh clean air."
"Then why did you pretend to act like that." Yu Sheng was beyond bewildered at this moment. "Are you going to tell me that you aren't going to die now? Is this a sick prank you planned?"
"No Little Sheng, I am dying." Hearing this he became stiff.
She slowly stood up from the wheelchair making the guards rub their eyes wondering if what their seeing is real.
Yu Sheng was also wondering if what he was seeing is real or a dream.
After stabilizing herself she slowly opened her emerald eyes. Yu Sheng seeing this couldn't stop the tears from leaving his own eyes.
"Its been so long since I last saw your eyes." He whispered as he place his hand on her face.
"Mhm." Yin Qing'er nodded as she place her own hand and his while saying, "And its been forever since I felt your warmth."
"Its a pity it can't last forever." She smiled bitterly as she wipe Yu Sheng tears.
"The reason I am able to see and move is because of a technique I learn in my dream. This technique allows a dying person to come back from the death."
"I thought since I was dying might aswell try this technique on my own body and it worked. Not only did my health improve but I was also able to see and move again."
"Sadly things don't last forever. This technique was actually a forbidden technique. Although it can bring a nearly death person back to full health its backlash rapidly decreases said person lifespan.
"And that's what happened to me. When I realized this I quickly entered back my dream to learn another technique that can block all senses. I then used that technique on my body and became a cripple once more in hopes that I don't die too early."
"Now that I disable this technique it can only mean that my lifespan is depleting right at this moment." Yin Qing'er stopped as she felt her lifespan going away.
Seeing that Yu Sheng wasn't talking she sighed. "Did you even hear one thing that I said?" She shook her head then went to grab her zither that was engraved with a rainbow color dragons on it.
She then sat next to the tree and said, "I have been playing this song in my mind for the past few years and now I'm ready to play it."
"But what should I call it? Hmmmm....! Ah! I know. Let's call it the Final Melody." After naming the song she then started playing it.
As she played it Yu Sheng and the two guards were brought into an illusion. In that illusion was a world showcasing her life with Yu Sheng before she became a cripple.
Watching the numerous scenes with her flash by Yu Sheng slowly approached her and look into her emerald eyes before confessing, "I love you Yin Qing'er."
The music stopped and the illusionary world was broken. Yin Qing'er became stunned before smiling. "Little Sheng you have always been here for me." She said as she place her arms around his necks and tiptoe, planting her lips on Yu Sheng own.
Yu Sheng eyes bulge out of his sockets for the duration of the kiss until she departed with a slight blush.
She placed her finger on her lips, pleased. "So that's how a kiss feel."
She raised her head to see Yu Sheng looking at her and blurted, "I will be waiting for you." Her body then collapsed on Yu Sheng chest giving him a fright.
"Qing'er.." He trembled as he lower his head to see her eyes were closed.
"Qing'er!" He screamed when he saw that she wasn't breathing.
The guards quickly came towards Yu Sheng to see Yin Qing'er who wasn't moving nor breathing.
"Call the ambulance!" The guard said as the other guard took out his phone and dialed 120 when Yu Sheng shouted, "Stop! Don't call the ambulance." He said through his cries.
He picked her up and lay her next to the tree. If his guess is right then this tree is where she wanted to be buried.
He watched her for a few minutes then got up. "Prepare for her to be buried, I will get a priest to do the ritual." He commanded the guards as they got to work.
Yu Sheng then called his father and his loud voice came through, "Brat! Didn't you tell me you would be coming after you see that Yin girl? Its nearly 1AM!"
"Qing'er is dead."
"..."
His father went quiet not because he heard of the girls death, but because of his son tone that sounded cold and indifferent.
The last time he heard his son spoke in such tone was before he met Yin Qing'er. Ever since he met her he started becoming cheerful and his tone contained numerous emotions.
Hearing the indifference he haven't heard in so many years the father was at a lost of words.
"Dad start the preparations. It's time we bring the Yu Cooperation to the unimaginable heights you always talked about."
