Chereads / The Strongest Primordial Werewolf / Chapter 45 - Unknown Dimension

Chapter 45 - Unknown Dimension

Falling through the sky, Sebastian noticed this place was different. It wasn't like any place he had seen before and the beast here was an abundance. Many powerful presences were everywhere but one was prominent as he felt their gaze.

'They must be the King of this place.'

Although he couldn't see the King, the beast itself didn't bother hiding its presence as its presence was everywhere. Soon, he felt multiple beasts closing in on his location.

'It must be trying to get rid of me.'

Bang!

Landing on the ground, Sebastian's legs shattered and the incoming beasts came out of the forest. Sensing their ranks, he didn't think they would have much of a problem with strength.

After his legs healed, Sebastian equipped a longsword and pointed it toward the beasts.

"You will be my lunch, you will be my dinner, and you will be my late night snack!" Sebastian said, pointing at each one of the beasts and labeling them.

Angered by his words, the beasts ran forward to close the distance. One beast lunged forward and its body began to change until spikes were all over its body.

Stepping back, Sebastian dodged and released his own attack. Three swift waves of white energy flew through the air and struck the beast.

Expecting the beast to be finished, he stared at the other beasts. One of the beasts took a step forward and the ground started to vibrate.

'Vibration magic or Earth magic?' Sebastian immediately questioned.

Before he knew it, he felt multiple spikes penetrate his body and the beast he had thought was defeated was standing up.

"You bastard!"

Not caring for his injuries, he slammed his fist through the spikes and gave the beast a strong hit to the head. Soon after, a weird sensation overcame his body as moved and a spike rose through the ground, and nearly pierced his body.

"You see, I've been told countless times to use my weapons instead of my fist, but my fist seems to have a mind of their own as if they wanna be used." Sebastian said with a crazed smile.

A feeling of dread overcame the beasts and soon they started to run away from the area.

"Capture!"

Activating his skill, the beasts were being pulled in. Suddenly, an incoming attack came launching toward Sebastian and nearly hit his head.

"Another one!?"

Inspecting the beast, he noticed it was a Pinnacle E-Rank beast. Even if Sebastian was stronger and resilient than most, it didn't mean it was to beasts.

For people, there were two different ranking systems. One for magical powers and one for physical capabilities. They could choose one path to progress on and do the other one later. Though one could do both but it was hard on both mental and physical health.

Beasts, on the other hand, had both magical and physical ranking systems combined. This was the reason why they could overpower most people who held the same rank. Of course, some people could be exceptions and battle them on the rank but that depended on the beasts.

With the appearance of a high-ranking beast, Sebastian equipped a dane axe. The dane axe had a long shaft, which provided a significant reach advantage. The axe head was broad, and often thin, wide blade with a hooked portion toward the lower end of the blade.

The Flames of Rage appeared on his body and strange black drawings also appeared. The strange drawings continued from his body to all over his body, including the left side of his head.

Walking forward, Sebastian was ready to fight and the beast seemed to sense it as it too was walking forward.

The first to move was the beast as it lunged forward, baring its fang and ready to take a bite. Sebastian dodged the obvious attack by taking a step to the side but that was his mistake.

Slash!

Barely being able to block the attack, Sebastian's forearm had a laceration that continued onto his shoulder.

'It's smarter than it looks.' Sebastian thought.

The dane axe started to glow as particles from Sebastian's wound flowed toward it. This was one of the enchantments on the axe. This enchantment took damage from Sebastian and would release it by either extending or enlarging the blade or releasing it in a single attack.

Sometimes Sebastian thought about using his aura but didn't. He didn't want to become too reliant on his auras but he still would use them every now and then as he needed to somehow implement them into his attacks.

Using both of his hands, Sebastian started to spin and swing the axe around while walking closer toward the beast. Seeing this, the beast slowly started to take steps backward and seemed to be planning something.

After a few seconds of swinging his weapon around, trails of electricity were coming off the weapon and seemed to be getting quicker. This was the weapon's other enchantment. By converting kinetic energy, it would turn into electric energy thus creating electricity instead of using magic to do so.

Before the beast knew it, Sebastian swung his weapon down but it confused the beast. Sebastian was far away so why waste energy but that's when something strange happened that even the beast didn't notice. The weapon's shaft and blade extended and enlarged.

Slash!

With a single swift slash, the beast's front leg was nearly cut off and another attack seemed to be coming. Trying to dodge, the beast stepped back and nearly had its head chopped off as it barely cut its neck.

Hoping to finish it off in one strike, Sebastian swung down. The beast pushed off the ground and dodged the attack but unfortunately its eye was grazed and a wave of electricity continued forward.

Jumping toward the side, the beast had its injured leg chopped off and it didn't take long for the beast to notice it was losing. Instead of staying, the beast decided to retreat and swore revenge.

"Where do you think you're going!?" Sebastian shouted as he appeared of the beast.

Suddenly alarms started to go off inside Sebastian's mind. Equipping his shield, he held it in front of him and soon a giant wave of ice came toward him fast.

Before Sebastian knew it, the giant wave pushed him back and continued to push him back for a quarter mile. When the wave of ice stopped, Sebastian looked at the shield and noticed it was in a bad condition. Though, Sebastian was surprised the shield was able to take the attack in the first place.

Soon, Sebastian felt some of his energy being sapped from him and the cracks on the shield were disappearing. This was the shield's enchantment. In exchange for Sebastian's energy, it would repair itself even if it was beyond repair.

Exhausted, Sebastian thought it was best to find a cave to rest in. Although his energy reserves were massive, the shield took nearly all of energy to fix itself.

Thinking about what to do, he felt multiple presences coming his way and immediately rushed in the opposite direction.

'Give me a break! This King just doesn't like me, don't they?' Sebastian thought.

Having disappeared, the multiple presences arrived at the scene and seemed to look humanoid.

"What could have pissed off the King of this domain?" A boy asked.

"I don't know. Whatever it was, it either was killed or launched very far away." A girl replied.

"Should we report him back to Lycaon?"

"Yes. If the beast somehow survived, it would mean that it was strong. Strong enough to anger the King."

The people lingered for a while before deciding it wasn't worth their time to stay. As they left the scene, a humanoid beast arrived at the scene and inspected the air.

"Whatever the King attacked, it seems to be alive. Those werewolves that arrived here didn't anger the King as he let them stay here but whoever angered the King might be strong. As a lowly servant, who isn't strong at all, will leave it be." The humanoid being said, although it was clearly afraid of being killed.

_______

"Did you discover anything?" A boy asked, sitting on a throne.

"Nothing. Whatever or whoever is most likely dead or very far away. Though if they are alive, they're likely either people searching for us or unfortunate people that went through the portal without reading the portal color guide." A girl replied.

"I thought they would arrive by now, considering I'm royalty but this portal probably is the Roaming Dimension."

The portal guide was something that everyone needed to read. It gave instructions on what to do and not do when they see a portal. Blue portals were considered safe and contained passive beasts. Yellow portals were considered low tier, meaning it contained beasts from F-Rank to E-Rank Beasts. Orange portals were considered mid tier, meaning it contained beasts from D-Rank to B-Rank beasts.

Pink portals were considered high tier, meaning it contained A-Rank to AAA-Rank beasts. Red portals were considered highly dangerous, meaning it contained S-Rank and above beasts. Lastly, golden portals were considered anomalies and contained a variety of ranked beasts but were rare to find as these were called Roaming Dimensions.

The portal Sebastian had entered was a golden portal. The same with Lycaon and all of his friends but it was by accident as the portal replaced the portal that was meant to send back toward their academy.

"This cave seems safe. Though, maybe the beasts that are inhabiting this cave are currently hunting for food ."

To play it safe, Sebastian sat deep into the cave and moved some rocks to conceal his position. Although it was useless, Sebastian forgot about the fact that beasts have a strong smell and the fact that he still couldn't hide his presence.

Sitting against the wall, Sebastian closed one his eyes while keeping the other open. He needed to be ready to strike at any given moment and see any incoming attacks.

_______

Next Day…

Stretching, Sebastian noticed no beast came to his cave. He did sense some beasts outside but they quickly ran away from the cave. He found it strange but they probably thought it already belonged to another powerful beast.

In reality though, with his inability to conceal his presence, the beasts felt his presence and dread entered their hearts so they ran away.

"Now, what to do? It seems like the King doesn't like me much and for some reason wants to kill me… I guess I can hunt."

Stepping outside the cave, an alarm sounded in his head as he dodged out of the way.

Bang!

A beast pounced down and slammed into the ground. Staring at the beast, it was a red ant but this one seemed to be standing on two legs.

"So you're the one the King doesn't like." The ant spoke in a deep voice.

"A beast that can talk… interesting." Sebastian said, unable to hide his smile.

Upon seeing the smile, the ant felt a shiver go down his spine and took a defensive stance. For once, Sebastian found something to test his martial arts on something. He didn't know how useful Slade's martials arts would be against humans but he did put emphasis on humanoids when he spoke to him.

'Oh! He meant humanoid beasts!' Finally realizing what Slade meant.

Putting one foot forward, Sebastian was ready for the beast to come at him. Even if Slade's martial arts was meant to be offensive, Sebastian was no idiot to attack a beast when he didn't know its strength. Especially against a beast that was able to hide its presence.

"What exactly are you? Your scent is confusing me." The ant asked.

"Really? Some people in the past had said the same thing about me." Sebastian found that confusing. Some people said his scent was strange and he himself didn't know the reason behind that.

"Finally! Someone who isn't a beast!" Someone shouted.

Before the ant knew it, a spear made of metal had pierced through its endoskeleton and head. The mysterious stranger then appeared in front of Sebastian, looking him up and down.

"Sebastian?!" The boy said, surprised.

"Carlos?!" Sebastian said in disbelief
