Loguetown was in sight, and on the port up ahead two figures were visible too, one with smoke drifting upwards, a male and a female resting their hands on a sword. When I pulled up and parked the boat, which was now by the way, back to its normal size, I met with the ever-pissed Smoker and the lovely Tashigi standing by him. They ordered Marine soldiers to take the body of my ancestor to a ship, which would be leaving for evaluation. As we walked through the confines of Loguetown, Smoker finally spoke up, "Kid, you've been promoted to Commodore of the Marines alongside me."
I wasn't too surprised considering I just walked into a warlord's territory, stolen from him, and didn't put the relationship of the Marines with him in jeopardy. I deserved it. But the next words knocked my ass out of it's happiness.
"We will traverse the seas together, a pirate killing machine, we will have a small fleet with us too!"
I facepalmed, knowing that I was going to be stuck with Smoker for way longer than I thought I would have to be. On the other hand, though, I get to spend time with Tashigi!
We walked further, until we reached the opposite of the two ports on Loguetown, and our eyes fell on the massive Fleet Carrier Marine ship that was in front of us, It's engine's hum drowned out everything in a 500-yard distance, this thing could probably cross the Calm Belt. We truly are the marine's rapid response team!
The ship parted with the docks and I began exploring as soon as we were out at sea, there were 5 training rooms, 2 solitary ones for me and Smoker, as we were the higher ranks on the ship, the cabins for the crew were simple one-bedroom, better than what I had as a Warrant Officer, it seems so long ago. My cabin was Much larger than the others, I'm expecting Smoker's to be this large too, and maybe Tashigi's as well, now that she's a Captain. There was a king-sized bed, kitchen, and bathroom. If you walk through a door, you will reach your private office, this has another door that no one can access from the deck unless you let them in.
With the initial exploration completed, I decided to seek out Smoker and Tashigi to discuss our plans and strategies moving forward. As I stepped out of my cabin, I couldn't help but notice the bustling activity on the ship. Marines were going about their duties, and the efficiency of the crew members showcased the disciplined nature of the Fleet Carrier Marine.
Navigating through the corridors, I eventually found Smoker and Tashigi on the deck, overlooking the vast expanse of the sea. Smoker's perpetually stern expression softened slightly as he turned to acknowledge my presence. Tashigi, on the other hand, greeted me with a friendly smile.
"Kid, glad you could join us," Smoker said, his tone more subdued than usual. "We've got a lot to discuss about our future operations and how we'll coordinate as a team."
Tashigi nodded in agreement, her eyes reflecting a sense of determination. "It's a unique opportunity for us to make a significant impact on the Grand Line. We need to be prepared for whatever challenges come our way."
As we delved into discussions about our mission objectives and potential threats, it became clear that our small fleet was intended to operate as a rapid response force, ready to intervene wherever needed. Smoker outlined the importance of maintaining a balance between enforcing justice and adapting to the unpredictable nature of the seas.
Over the following days, we fine-tuned our strategies and familiarized ourselves with the capabilities of the Fleet Carrier Marine. The ship's advanced technology and state-of-the-art facilities highlighted the World Government's commitment to staying ahead in the ever-evolving world of piracy and chaos.
As we sail through the seas, we will encounter various islands and challenges, our camaraderie will strengthen. The unique dynamics between Smoker, Tashigi, and me create a synergy that will make our collaboration effective. Smoker's no-nonsense approach, Tashigi's attention to detail, and my strategic thinking complement each other well.
The ship will become a symbol of justice on the Grand Line, its presence instilling a sense of security among the islands under the protection of the Marines. Our journey will be filled with battles against pirates and rogue organizations, each victory solidifying our reputation as a formidable force.
And so, our adventure began, as we sailed into the unknown, ready to face whatever challenges the Grand Line had in store for the Marine's rapid response team.
