The morning unfolded with the soft glow of the rising sun, casting a rosy hue across the sky. The soothing sound of water gushing from the faucet accompanied the hiss of the gas stove, creating a tranquil ambiance as a song played from the computer.
In the midst of this serene scene, SHIRIKU KAMI, a freshman eagerly anticipating his first day of high school, found himself lost in his thoughts. As he finished up in the shower room, a call echoed from the kitchen, announcing breakfast's readiness.
Interrupting the music from his computer, SHIRIKU made his way to the kitchen, but the weight of anticipation lingered. While eating, he couldn't escape the cloud of overthinking about the unknown challenges awaiting him in high school. An unintentional, audible sigh escaped him, catching the attention of his mother, who picked up on his pensive expression.
"Are you worried about school?" inquired his mother, her face reflecting concern. SHIRIKU admitted his apprehensions, and his mother, sensing his unease, began to offer words of reassurance, gently assuring him that fitting in would come naturally, especially given his siblings' reputation as school geniuses.
But SHIRIKU, with a conflicted expression, expressed his reluctance to rely on his siblings' reputation as a crutch. "But Mom," he explained with a repulsive expression, "I don't want to use my siblings as a getaway to easily fit in at school. And also, I'm not like my brothers and sister; I'm not that smart. My capabilities in studying are limited to getting an average passing grade."
His mother, sighing in understanding, responded, "Well, okay. Finish up your breakfast because your brother is already done." The atmosphere in the kitchen carried a mix of emotions—anticipation, concern, and a touch of familial support as SHIRIKU grappled with the impending challenges of his first day in high school.
"Hurry up, guys!" echoed Dad's shout, signaling the departure for SHIRIKU's first day at "ACADEMY DE INSTITUTE Z.C." With everything neatly packed, SHIRIKU found his place in the car, settling into the middle seat beside his Big Brother, a two-years-older genius sibling.
Seeking reassurance, SHIRIKU turned to his brother and asked about his upcoming high school journey. A warm smile spread across his brother's face as he replied, "Don't worry; you're gonna do great. This won't be like your old school. From here on out, they'll respect you." Grateful for the encouragement, SHIRIKU responded with a smile, but a hint of apprehension lingered in his thoughts.
As the car journey continued, SHIRIKU immersed himself in music through his earphones, finding a momentary escape. The arrival at "ACADEMY DE INSTITUTE Z.C" brought a cacophony of sounds—cars zooming, birds chirping, tree leaves rustling in the wind, and the lively laughter of students.
Sensing the anticipation, Big Brother declared, "It's time to go." SHIRIKU, taking a deep breath, acknowledged the moment. "Yeah, let's go, Shiroe" he affirmed, using a term of endearment.
After entering the school Shiroe and Shiriku parted ways since Shiroe needed to his friends/classmates, while Shiroe told him to check his phone and look for his class location
Announcement:
In SHIRIKU's perspective, his heart raced as if caught in a moment of tachycardia. Glancing to the side, he saw his brother standing solemnly, respecting the school principal's announcement. Meanwhile, his mind wandered to the comforting thought of escaping to read manga at home.
Once the principal's announcement concluded, the reality hit him: he was alone in the vastness of the school. The initial excitement turned into a realization of being adrift. Quick to act, he messaged his big brother, seeking guidance in navigating the unfamiliar terrain.
Upon meeting his brother, SHIRIKU mustered the courage to ask for help in finding his classroom. His brother, looking a mix of surprised and amused, sighed in response. "Let's go," he said, leading the way.
As they navigated the school halls together, SHIRIKU eventually settled into a chair near the window in his classroom. Sitting there, he couldn't help but acknowledge the resemblance to anime protagonists, musing to himself, "Heh, just like every Anime MC ¯\_(ツ)_/¯."
In the midst of the classroom, SHIRIKU engaged in silent contemplation. Observing the gender distribution, he noted 14 girls and 10 boys, a fact that piqued his interest. As his gaze wandered, he discovered that his seatmates were two boys, seemingly defying his expectations by embodying a certain delinquent vibe.
Internally, SHIRIKU acknowledged the potential rudeness of labeling them without knowing anything. Yet, his reasoning traced back to the countless anime and novels he'd consumed, along with past encounters with similar individuals. It was a preconceived notion rooted in fiction and personal experiences.
As the advisor's voice cut through the room, instructing everyone to settle in, one of SHIRIKU's seatmates couldn't help but express admiration, exclaiming, "Woah, she's beautiful." SHIRIKU, caught off guard, internally exclaimed a mild expletive. The advisor proceeded to initiate introductions, triggering a sense of panic within SHIRIKU. "SHIT!" he thought, contemplating how to navigate the introduction without drawing too much attention to himself.
Meanwhile in the midst of the classroom buzz, a random classmate couldn't help but observe, "That boy that sits close to the window, he kinda looks familiar,"a classmate mused, their thoughts reflecting a hint of curiosity about SHIRIKU.
As the Sensei, Mika Takahashi, initiated her introduction, she declared, "Hello class! My darlings can call me 'Takahashi Sensei,'" with a touch of endearment. The teacher's unique choice of address added a distinct charm to the atmosphere.
The teacher then announced that introductions would follow the seating order. SHIRIKU, seated near the window, let out a relieved "Whew," silently expressing gratitude for being positioned at the back. He chuckled to himself, adding, "Good thing I'm at the back, and of course... the last seat, hehe," his inner thoughts laced with a hint of mischief.
However, the teacher clarified, "And by seating order, I meant the people at the back!" The declaration was punctuated with a cute, teasing "teehee." Meanwhile, SHIRIKU's inner thoughts screamed in silent protest, "Nooooooo!!!!"
The teacher's playful attention singled out SHIRIKU, saying, "You there, my little darling at the back, you can start now," accompanied by a wink. Panic set in for SHIRIKU as he thought, "Shit! Shit! Shit!" Gathering his composure, he walked toward the front of the class, turning around to face his classmates. The teacher encouraged him, saying, "Well, darling, you can start now."
In SHIRIKU's perspective, he began his introduction, "Hello everyone! My name is Shiriku Kami, and I'm 15 years old." Expressing a desire for smooth interactions, he added, "I hope I can get along with everyone in this class without a problem," even though standing out wasn't his preference. Internally, he sighed, resigned to the fact that his attempt to stay low-key had been thwarted. "Oh, it looks like this school year is gonna be interesting," noted the teacher with a hint of excitement.
A random classmate couldn't contain their realization, thinking, "I knew it! That's why he looks familiar. He's one of the siblings of the geniuses in this school."
As SHIRIKU concluded his introduction, a second random classmate couldn't help but murmur, "Interesting," eyebrows raising with curiosity as they exchanged glances with others
Simultaneously, a third classmate chimed in, expressing their sentiment with a sly smile. "Well, this is gonna be fun," they remarked, a sense of excitement evident in their tone.
Introduction Phase Continues:
1.) **Fuyumi Shimizu:**
As Fuyumi Shimizu introduced herself, her demeanor exuded a cool indifference. "Hi, everyone. My name is Fuyumi Shimizu. I'm 15 years old. Don't talk to me if it isn't important," she stated bluntly, her words punctuated with a dismissive attitude. SHIRIKU, observing her with a raised eyebrow, couldn't help but think, "Sheesh, talk about attitude." Fuyumi, catching his intense gaze, responded with a nonchalant "Hmph," expressing her disinterest with a subtle roll of her eyes.
2.) **Sachiko Koizumi:**
On the contrary, Sachiko Koizumi radiated warmth and familiarity. "Hello, I'm Sachiko Koizumi! I'm 14 years old. Enrolled here since pre-school. If you ever need guidance through this school, I'm your girl, and I'm looking forward to being friends with everyone," she cheerfully declared. Her gestures included an open smile, inviting hand motions, and a friendly sparkle in her eyes. Her introduction painted a picture of approachability and a genuine desire to connect.
3.) **Dachi Bushida:**
Dachi Bushida, a succinct participant in the introductions, stated his name with a quick nod and immediately took a seat. The simplicity of his introduction conveyed a no-nonsense approach, accentuated by his prompt action of sitting. The straightforwardness of his demeanor hinted at a person who valued efficiency.
4.) **Daiki Bushida:**
Following suit, Daiki Bushida, presumably a sibling of Dachi, mirrored his brother's succinct style. "Names Daiki Bushida. 16 years old," he stated before promptly taking a seat. Like Dachi, his actions spoke louder than words, emphasizing a shared sense of efficiency and directness.
5.) **Junichi Kaneko:**
In contrast, Junichi Kaneko burst into the scene with enthusiasm. "HELLO! Junichi Kaneko at your service(ノ゚0゚)ノ→!" he exclaimed, injecting energy into the room. "And I'm 15 years old!" His introduction continued with animated hand gestures, showcasing a lively personality. The combination of his words and expressive body language set the stage for an engaging and vibrant presence in the class.
SHIRIKU couldn't help but muse, "It seems I'm surrounded by interesting individuals." His eyes subtly widened with a hint of curiosity.
