Damien, watching the shards fall, heard a familiar voice.
"Woah! You really are impressive. To have the mental strength to get out of a Warlock's illusion, that's not something everyone can do. Even though you're about to die, you're an interesting guy."
It was the vampire's voice. Damien didn't answer. He was too tired, so he just stood there, motionless, doing nothing.
'I don't have freedom over my movements anymore... I can feel myself disappearing...'
The vampire slowly approached Damien. In his hand was a staff with a white crystal at the top.
"You can see it, can't you? This artifact that belonged to a Warlock." Count Vampire said. "But don't worry, it doesn't belong to me. But even if it's not mine, that doesn't mean I can't use it."
A broad smile appeared on Count Vampire's face.
"Ah, well, did you have a happy time there? Hey, tell me."
