Chapter 124 - Violently Strike the Old Fox!

Just second-level Swiftwind Wolves?

Besides being fast and agile, they posed no real threat.

If he hadn't sent his Gray Wolf to protect Sophia during her withdrawal, it alone could have handled these ten wolves!

Confident, Eddie drew his Ashen Magic Blade and charged up the hill, only to find two Magma Dragons soaking in a pool of blood-red magma.

He screamed in frustration, "Damn it, old fox, when I get out, I'll chop you into eighteen pieces!"

These weren't second-level Swiftwind Wolves; they were bronze-level six Magma Dragons, and there were two of them!

Eddie immediately reached for his teleportation scroll, only to find it unusable.

The old fox not only knew how to make teleportation scrolls but also spatial interference techniques. Students teleported in could only fight, not flee.

Seeing the two Magma Dragons, Eddie broke into a cold sweat.

If it weren't for him but another student taking the test, like Fatso Hessian, they would likely be annihilated.

How could they possibly defeat two bronze-level six Magma Dragons?

And this was just the lowest level red scroll.

If he had opened the violet level seven scroll, would he have faced the legendary golden three-headed dragon? The more Eddie thought about it, the angrier he became.

The old fox had deliberately chosen this twisted test over the simpler crystal ball method, and who knows how many students had died because of it.

No wonder Ivy League College had no students; who would come here to die?

However, since he was already teleported in and faced with Magma Dragons, Eddie had to fight.

He could handle bronze-level six creatures, and the Magma Dragons' magic crystals were excellent fire attribute materials.

They would be perfect for the core of a Flame Demon Puppet.

If he could upgrade his Ashen Magic Blade to a platinum-level magic weapon, that would be even more impressive.

And for the golden little mantis, if it hatched, it might also need dragon magic crystals.

"Stop fooling around!" Eddie saw the Magma Dragons lunging at him and, instead of retreating, advanced, his magic blade cleaving through the air.

He wasn't like Fatso Hessian, who just waited around to die.

No matter how tough the creature, Eddie had fought and defeated them. He knew the weaknesses of flame creatures like these dragons.

They were powerful but had a fear of water. Even a regular level white whale battle beast could pose a threat to them, provided the level gap wasn't too wide.

The second weakness was the dragons' crystal in their heads.

Magma Dragons had a layer of extremely hot magma as armor, but their heads, especially the magic crystal inside the skull, were vulnerable.

Over time, absorbing too much fire energy caused the skull to bulge, creating a prominent bump on the top of the head, making it an easy target.

Eddie leaped into the air, aiming his magic blade at that noticeable bulge.

He thought his strike would severely injure the dragon, but as it descended, its body sank, and its wings rose to protect its head.

His blade, sharp enough to cut through metal, sliced halfway through the wings.

The Magma Dragon lost support in mid-air and crashed to the ground, splattering magma everywhere.

Eddie flipped in mid-air, skillfully avoiding the bite of the other dragon, preparing to strike the injured one on the ground.

But to his surprise, the grounded dragon with damaged wings miraculously rose, knocking Eddie out of the air and relentlessly pursuing him, leaving him dodging frantically on the ground.

How could this be?

Hadn't he just destroyed its wings?

How could they have healed so quickly, leaving the dragon unscathed?

If not for being chased, Eddie would have loved to check the beast manual for information on these Magma Dragons and why they seemed immune to weapon attacks.

"Think you're tough? Watch my ultimate move!" Seeing the hideous, scorching dragon head coming at him, Eddie agilely leaped up, spinning in mid-air to evade its sharp teeth.

With his right index finger, he sent out a sword qi, piercing the bulge on the dragon's head. As the innate sword qi broke through, the Magma Dragon was instantly gravely injured.

The wounded Magma Dragon, wailing in agony, collapsed to the ground, rolling about and leaving pools of blood-like magma fire juice.

Eddie was smug inside.

Think you're tough?

Nothing beats my innate sword qi.

However, the dragon's subsequent actions and changes dumbfounded him. The injured dragon stumbled into a magma pool.

Seemingly on the brink of death, it rolled around in the pool, each roll healing its injuries bit by bit.

In less than a minute, it climbed out, fully restored and flapping its magma-dripping wings as it soared into the sky.

"Can it really do that?" If Eddie didn't have his level three eyes to see through the dragon's superficial recovery, he might have been scared stiff.

For those without innate sword qi, facing Magma Dragons with access to a super-hot molten lava pool would be a nightmare. This advantageous terrain was a challenger's worst enemy.

Eddie wiped off a bead of cold sweat, "Good thing I'm facing bronze-level six Magma Dragons, not gold-level seven Lava Giants. Alright, game over!"

He released the Bloody Queen, letting her soar towards the circling dragons, exerting pressure on them.

Though three levels higher, the two Magma Dragons, hesitant to confront the gold-level sovereign beast, flew lower.

The Bloody Queen, sensing the slower speed of the one Eddie had injured with his sword qi, pursued it.

Her gold-level Dragon Slayer Dagger was lethal to all dragon and sub-dragon species.

The slower Magma Dragon tried to bite back in desperation, but the Bloody Queen elegantly dodged and plunged her dagger deep into its head, right into the protruding magic crystal.

The dragon rolled painfully onto the ground, crashing down and sparking a flurry of magma.

Seeing its companion in trouble, the other dragon rushed to help but was stunned mid-air by the Bloody Queen's screech, tumbling and crashing.

Eddie didn't waste time.

He summoned the golden puppet's hammer from his Necromancer's Ring, swinging it heavily onto the dragon's head.

As it flew away, he drew his Ashen Magic Blade and leaped high, plunging the blade forcefully into the dragon's head as it crashed down.

A minute later, the Magma Dragon lay dead, ending the battle.

The Bloody Queen, having secretly absorbed the other dragon's magic crystal energy, shone with a blazing aura. Her golden wings rose, the feathers igniting into an unquenchable fire.

Her blood-red hair became even brighter and smoother, falling straight down to her backside in a stunning and enchanting display.

She had finally leveled up from gold-level three to gold-level four after continuous battles and absorbing the dragon magic crystals.

With a light flap of her golden fiery wings, she flew even faster, becoming nearly invisible to Eddie.

Although the Bloody Queen had fallen to gold-level three after merging with her shadow and being reborn, her strength and speed increased significantly upon leveling up.

Now at gold-level four, she surpassed her previous gold-level five capabilities.

Excited, she flew wildly in the sky, screaming joyfully.

Eddie initially wanted to discipline her for eating without permission, a matter of principle. But seeing her joy, he couldn't bring himself to dampen her spirits.

Eddie watched the Bloody Queen, her lethal allure and snow-white body stirring up desires within him.

If Inan didn't show up soon to resolve his romantic life, he feared he might lose control.

Was he really considering a taboo relationship with a beast? B

ut then, the Bloody Queen was a beauty, not a true beast, just with an extra pair of wings. What's the harm in that?

Eddie opened the Silver Codex and found the Bloody Queen had indeed leveled up to gold-level four, gaining the 'Flame Whip' ability.

Curiously, he discovered he could use the 'Flame Whip' when summoning her, the opposite of Little Wenli's Binding talent.

However, the whip's power paled in comparison to the Binding talent.

A beam of teleportation light began to emerge around Eddie, starting small but rapidly expanding. Eddie tried to move, but the light followed him.

It was the old fox's forced teleportation after the ten-minute protective time limit.

Eddie hurriedly stored the Magma Dragons' magic crystals into his Necromancer's Ring and crammed the dragons' bodies in.

He recalled the Bloody Queen just a second before the teleportation light shot up into the sky, forming a strong white column. In about ten seconds, he was back in front of the old fox.

Without waiting for the old man to speak, Eddie punched him, sending his skinny body flying: "Add this to the record: I'm the first student in history to beat up the vice-dean on the first day of school!"

Eddie chased after the old man, ready to pummel him with a large stone, but halted when he noticed dozens of people staring at him, their mouths wide enough to fit a hippo.

Fatso Hessian and Yehken rushed out from the crowd, with Fatso Hessian giving Eddie a bear hug and Yehken sneakily taking the stone from Eddie's hand and tossing it away.

"What are you guys doing here?" Eddie asked, surprised. "Weren't you celebrating the New Year?"

"Home is boring. The college is more fun. We've been waiting for you for two days!" Fatso Hessian said.

Then quickly added, "Vice-dean, don't be mad. My little brother doesn't know better. As the boss, I'll make sure to discipline him so he doesn't misuse violence again. Let's run; the old guy's about to blow his top!" Seeing the vice-dean fuming with a crooked nose, Fatso Hessian unceremoniously left Eddie behind and ran off.

"Once Sophia arrives, let's go catch Wind Foxes at the Wild Horse Plains. This college is fun, very free, but you can learn a lot!" Yehken said as they ran. Eddie was puzzled, "Really? You can learn a lot at this crappy college?"

"Titan, you damn kid, you dare hit me? If I don't get back at you a hundredfold, I'm not the vice-dean!"

The old fox yelled at Eddie's retreating figure, then turned to the onlookers, sternly warning, "Everyone forget what you saw. If I hear anyone gossiping about me being the first vice-dean in three thousand years to get beaten up by a new student, I'll subject the entire college to a brutal punishment and make everyone experience a super terrifying 'Hell Journey'!"

The onlookers silently agreed, thinking the old tyrant was bound to get beaten again sooner or later.
