The Fire Lord, enveloped in a whirlwind of flames, charged ferociously at Eddie.
Before even getting close, it launched a heavy blow, unleashing flames like a roaring dragon.
Eddie, rather than retreating, advanced, aiming for the Fire Lord's heart of molten fire hidden within its thick chest.
He concentrated his innate energy to break through the stony chest armor, and his blade struck like lightning, sinking into the Fire Lord with a sizzling sound.
The sensation of piercing something soft and the intense heat he felt caused Eddie's heart to sink slightly. The Fire Lord, with a slight shift in stance, delivered a fiery, earth-shattering punch, forcing Eddie to abandon his blade, now embedded in the Fire Lord, and retreat.
The Fire Lord didn't pursue. Instead, it slowly pulled out the moon blade, now melded into glowing red molten metal.
The once-hard blade had become soft and pliable. The Fire Lord exhaled a stream of molten fire from its chest, which quickly healed.
Incredibly, it opened its mouth, filled with molten magma, and devoured the blade as if it were a snack!
Eddie hadn't expected his moon blade to harm the Fire Lord, but seeing his attack have no effect was still disheartening.
The Silver Level 7 monstrosity was truly terrifying, its body ablaze with fierce flames, its form composed of molten lava and magma for blood, and its heart of purple flame.
How could he possibly damage it?
With only one strike of his innate sword energy remaining, what would he do if it proved ineffective?
Especially with the ever-looming threat of the Bone Dragon in the sky, ready to strike at any moment.
Eddie quickly retreated to his protective barrier as the Fire Lord advanced.
The Fire Lord, seemingly possessing some intelligence, didn't foolishly attack the barrier protecting Eddie but instead set the battlefield ablaze, transforming it into a blazing inferno suited to its strengths.
The two remaining demon generals retreated to a corner, content to wait for the Fire Lord and the Bone Dragon to finish off Eddie.
After all, it's always easier to pick on the weaker.
With the Fire Lord too powerful and the Bone Dragon's bones too hard, Eddie decided to target the two demon generals first.
The two demon generals were secretly pleased, believing that as long as they could stall Eddie, the inevitable arrival of the Bone Dragon and the Fire Lord would seal his fate.
Indeed, as the two generals adopted a defensive stance, the Bone Dragon in the sky swiftly swooped down, baring its fangs at Eddie.
With a horde of demonic insects in front, tracking black arrows on the sides, and the rapidly approaching Fire Lord, Eddie's plan to attack the isolated generals failed.
Instead of scattering as he had anticipated, they confronted him head-on, thwarting his advantage in speed and strategy.
Eddie, planting his feet firmly, leapt up with agility, nimbly dodging a barrage of attacks in a narrow space, and landed gracefully back on the ground before the Fire Lord could strike.
With his moon blade, he deflected the tracking arrows and narrowly avoided the Bone Dragon's tail smash by arching his upper body backward.
Using the force of the Bone Dragon's wing swipe, he swiftly retreated back into the safety of his barrier.
To any other human warrior without the ability to freely enter and exit the barrier, this situation would have been fatal.
The demon generals were dumbfounded by Eddie's incredible abilities. Despite his youth, he was an Innate-level fighter with extraordinary speed and the unique capability to freely move in and out of his book's protective shield—a phenomenon they had never heard of or witnessed before.
However, they knew that no matter how miraculous or inconceivable Eddie's abilities were, his situation was still dire.
In ten minutes, the protective shield would automatically disappear, leaving him without a place to hide.
Under the combined assault of the fearsome Bone Dragon and Fire Lord, his survival seemed impossible.
The demon generals also noticed that Eddie, although an Innate-level fighter, seemed slightly less powerful than other human Innates.
Most importantly, his summoned creatures were not particularly strong.
As they observed, the two generals were confident in their prediction of Eddie's inevitable downfall.
The two demon generals speculated that the young human warrior might not be a true Innate, perhaps relying on some artifact to defeat their companions.
They wondered how such a seemingly weak Innate could exist and planned to search his body for treasures after killing him.
They were convinced that his apparent Innate-level strength was an illusion created by a mysterious object.
Eddie pondered his next move, knowing that the difference in level and power was too great for his shadow bull to be effective against the Fire Lord or the flying Bone Dragon.
His beloved daughter-like creature, Little Wenli, appeared in a rainbow light. She looked at the Fire Lord and then at Eddie with her big, expressive eyes, seemingly asking why he was struggling with such a simple foe.
Although she didn't speak, Eddie understood her meaning from her eyes.
Feeling both embarrassed and pleasantly surprised, Eddie realized that although he couldn't defeat the Fire Lord, Little Wenli might have a way.
It was time for his precious "daughter" to shine!
Little Wenli, seeing Eddie's thumbs-up, smiled sweetly, her face beaming with purity and sweetness.
She summoned her exquisite diamond book, leaving the demon generals in shock and fear.
To them, a Diamond Grimoire was an unimaginably powerful artifact, beyond the reach of even higher-ranking demons like Demon Commanders or Generals.
The appearance of Little Wenli with her Diamond Grimoire suggested that she was an extraordinary being, possessing a level of strength that even the demon generals could not fathom.
The Diamond Grimoire was not something one could obtain simply by upgrading a book; it required immense talent and the ability to step into the Innate realm.
For most warriors, a Platinum Grimoire was the limit, achievable only by those who couldn't reach the Innate level.
A Diamond Grimoire, on the other hand, was the ultimate aspiration for all warriors, unattainable and revered.
Now, to the utter disbelief of the demon generals, this little creature possessed a Diamond Grimoire.
They were both terrified and confused about her true identity and the extent of her power. Moth and Winged exchanged glances, their minds racing with questions and fears about what this development meant for their battle against Eddie and Little Wenli.
The presence of a Diamond Grimoire holder on the battlefield drastically changed the dynamics and raised the stakes of the fight.
The demon generals Moth and Winged were incredulous, finding it incomprehensible that Little Wenli, a creature summoned by Eddie, could possess a summoning grimoire.
They questioned their sanity, wondering if they were hallucinating at the sight of a battle creature with such an artifact.
The Fire Lord, sensing Little Wenli as a threat, roared furiously and charged at her. However, Little Wenli stood protected by dual shields from the Bronze and Diamond Grimoires, unfazed by the Fire Lord's presence.
Eddie watched in amazement, wondering if a Diamond Level 1 creature like Wenli could really ignore such a vast level difference and defeat the Fire Lord, a Silver Level 7 creature.
Despite Wenli's recent birth and her juvenile state, could she truly triumph over such a formidable opponent?
A golden light shone from Little Wenli's palm, followed by a rainbow and flowers emanating from the Diamond Grimoire's pages.
The summoning process took slightly longer than before, and this time, instead of a Medusa, she summoned a mermaid.
The mermaid, with golden hair, jade-like arms, and a snow-white body adorned only with a pink scallop shell over her chest, had a golden, elegant fish tail.
Eddie was taken aback by the beauty of the summoned mermaid, almost drooling at the sight.
This mermaid seemed far from a typical combatant. Mermaids were generally known as special support-type creatures with little combat ability.
If it were a mermaid warrior wielding a trident, it might be feasible, but this particular mermaid appeared to be non-combatant.
The demon generals, initially startled by Little Wenli's summoning, soon burst into laughter to mask their earlier shock.
They found it hard to believe that a seemingly non-combatant mermaid could pose any threat to the formidable Fire Lord and Bone Dragon.
The notion of such an unlikely creature defeating these mighty adversaries seemed utterly preposterous.
The Silver Level 7 Fire Lord, upon seeing the mermaid, immediately turned and fled in panic.
The Bone Dragon in the sky also seemed to be alarmed, quickly landing on the ground and wrapping its skeletal body tightly with its bone wings. Eddie was baffled by their reactions.
Little Wenli gracefully pointed her finger, and the golden, elegant mermaid nodded. She produced a snow-white conch shell with red patterns and gently blew into it.
Instantly, the entire arena was enveloped in dark clouds, with winds stirring like demonic claws and thunder rumbling fiercely.
Lightning flashed, and tornadoes descended from the clouds, turning the arena into the center of a tempestuous storm.
Eddie watched in awe as the arena transformed into the heart of a maritime storm.
He realized that Little Wenli possessed four guardian creatures, one of which was this 'Storm Mermaid.' He had underestimated her capabilities, never expecting her to summon such a terrifying storm.
No wonder she was unimpressed by the Fire Lord – in the face of the Storm Mermaid, the formidable Fire Lord was doomed to fail.
Countless raindrops drenched the Fire Lord, initially evaporating into steam, but soon it struggled under the relentless barrage of rain and lightning.
The Fire Lord's body began to harden into stone as the heat of its molten body rapidly cooled and solidified.
Another bolt of lightning struck, shattering half of its head and revealing a mass of red magma inside its petrified form.
As the mermaid's conch horn sounded, another massive wave of rain descended. Before its impending death, the Fire Lord made a peculiar move – it reached into its own cracked head and pulled out a red object engulfed in flames, throwing it onto the ground.
Its enormous body then quickly solidified into black rock under the onslaught of the rain and collapsed with a thunderous crash, scattering into pieces.
"Treasure!" Eddie, with his keen eyes, noticed the Fire Lord's desperate act of throwing the red object and guessed it must be something valuable.
He prepared to rush out in the rain to retrieve it, but the metal creature, originally formed into a bracelet, quickly reverted to its original form and dashed towards the object, seemingly intent on claiming it for itself.
Annoyed, Eddie kicked the metal creature, sending it flying. As a summoned beast, it should be helping its master, not competing for treasure.
Clearly, it had picked up this bad habit from Grey Wolf.
Meanwhile, the two demon generals were struck by lightning and knocked unconscious, their bodies blown about wildly by the storm.
The Bone Dragon, however, was different. Although it suffered from several lightning strikes, apart from some charred bones and minor fractures, most of its body remained intact.
As a non-fire attribute beast with a skeletal structure, the storm had little effect on it.
Eddie reckoned that if little Wenli had summoned the Thunder Naga instead of the Storm Mermaid, the Bone Dragon would have been in serious trouble. He quickly picked up the red object discarded by the Fire Lord before inspecting it, only to find the metal creature already attacking the Bone Dragon's skull, trying to devour its magical dragon crystal.
"My dragon crystal!" Eddie exclaimed in panic. The metal creature was a thousand times more wasteful than Grey Wolf, preferring to chew on the precious dragon crystal as if it were a crunchy cucumber.
Such a crystal was something others could only dream of obtaining, yet here it was, being devoured by this reckless creature.
