Chapter 74 - Ruined Temple of the Gods?

As for the mysterious metallic creature, its true nature remained an enigma. However, when Eddie combined Inan's five-star Beast Egg with the mysterious chaotic egg, they witnessed the birth of a small silver Pegasus. Inan was overjoyed, hugging Grace and jumping around excitedly.

The newly-contracted Silver Pegasus, still a foal, was already at the Silver Level Two. Inan speculated that it could potentially reach at least six stars, and possibly even evolve into a Gold Level creature.

Hessian, upon seeing this, half-jokingly and half-seriously pleaded with Eddie, "I'm your big guy, with just a Bronze Level Two Ironskin Rhino. You can't just leave me in the lurch! Get me a beast too. I'm not picky; any Gold Level will do!" Before he could finish, Yehken knocked him down with a kick, stomping on his rotund belly, much to the amusement of the others.

Eddie, witnessing this, did have plans to help the Lye brothers and Hessian acquire Bronze Level beasts. Their current strength was too weak, making them a liability for future team training and adventures.

Eddie didn't voice his intentions, simply nodding at the Lye brothers in silent assurance.

This gesture alone was enough to fill them with warmth and gratitude, knowing Eddie hadn't forgotten them.

In this moment, despite the mysteries and the humor, there was an unspoken bond of trust and camaraderie among the group, each aware of their strengths and shortcomings, yet willing to move forward together.

Eddie was not particularly interested in attending school, preferring the hands-on experience of adventuring in the Heaven-Reaching Tower.

Hessian, however, was persistent in persuading him, boasting about the abundance of beauties at their Ivy League Academy, which he claimed was located opposite the famous Capital Academy, known for its multitude of beautiful women.

"Although Capital Academy has many beauties, our Ivy League Academy isn't far behind,"

Hessian argued, unashamedly emphasizing the romantic opportunities.

"Think about it, we're from the Ivy League, going to Capital Academy to win over the beauties there. Isn't that more of an accomplishment?"

Eddie, however, wasn't easily swayed by such superficial appeals.

He was more focused on strengthening his abilities and understanding the mysteries surrounding his new metallic creature and the other unusual items he had acquired.

As Hessian continued his enthusiastic sales pitch, Eddie's attention drifted back to his own curiosities, pondering the adventures and challenges that awaited him in the Heaven-Reaching Tower.

Hessian, in his typical boastful manner, claimed to be a master of romance, known as the "flirty prince" who had conquered many hearts at the Ivy League Academy.

When Eddie inquired about Hessian's conquests of campus beauties, Hessian quickly deflected, insisting that he had left many beauties pining after him. He then tried to lure Eddie with the promise of untamed beauties and even beautiful female instructors at the academy.

Eddie was initially uninterested, but his curiosity was piqued when Hessian mentioned a beautiful instructor knowledgeable in rune summoning techniques and the "Ruins of the Gods."

Hessian explained that the Ruins were a place of legend on the Dragonrise Continent, second only to the Heaven-Reaching Tower in mystery, supposedly filled with treasures, ancient summoning beasts, and even something called "Martial Souls."

According to him, these were remnants of powerful warriors from ages past, offering immense power and experience to those who could obtain them.

The instructor at their academy, Hessian claimed, was one of the three sages who knew how to access the Ruins and might hold a key to unlocking its ancient gate.

The prospect of such adventure and knowledge finally seemed to interest Eddie.

However, before they could discuss further, Yehken and the Ly brothers burst in, announcing a martial auction where items beneficial for Sophia's War Treant— the "Fruit of Wisdom" and branches from the "Tree of Life"— were to be auctioned. Eddie immediately sprang into action, eager to attend the auction and acquire these potentially valuable items for Sophia.
