Chapter 64 - Secondary Tome

Eddie, utterly clueless about the "Three Great Killers," asked in confusion.

"You really don't know?" Yehken couldn't hide his shock. "The Three Great Killers are esteemed titles awarded by the Warrior's Guild to the most distinguished young warriors. Their names are 'Qeathon, Porking, and Tunlun,' representing the elite youth of the Feng, Yan, and Xue families. They have earned their names through unparalleled prowess, overshadowing even the notable talents of the Yue family."

Eddie learned that these Three Great Killers, Qeathon, Porking, and Tunlun, were the paragons of the younger generation in the human realm. While the Yue family's Yue Tian and Yue Yan were formidable, they couldn't quite compare to these extraordinary figures.

Qeathon, a standout from the Nanling Piaomiao Sect, wielded the formidable 'Tianmo War Armor,' dominating in close-quarter battles.

Porking, the prodigy of Thunder Lion Tower, was known for his strategic acumen and commanded the versatile 'Flame Lion King' beast.

Tunlun, the youngest yet a marvel from Donghai Crystal Palace, had made waves across the realm by defeating seasoned elders at just nine years old and was personally mentored by the sect leader.

Eddie, unaware of their reputations, was taken aback when Tunlun, the icy figure, confronted him directly, expressing resentment for Eddie's alleged dismissal of his sister and challenging him to a decisive duel.

Eddie stood bewildered, wondering when he had supposedly spurned Tunlun's sister.

Eddie found himself at the center of a bewildering accusation. "The Ice Man is the brother of the Miss Xue who canceled the engagement? That makes some sense, but something's still off. I, or rather the person I replaced, never abandoned her. Wasn't it she who called off the engagement?"

The Lady of Falling-Flower City added fuel to the fire, pointing at Sophia on Eddie's back and playfully suggesting, "Did this young lady come between you two?"

"No, Sophia is Eddie's sister," Yehken quickly clarified, seeing Eddie's stunned expression.

"A sister complex, then?" The Lady of Falling-Flower City teased, almost making Eddie's blood boil.

Disbelief and disdain were evident in everyone's eyes as they looked at Eddie, who felt wronged beyond measure.

"It's all nonsense! I came out because I heard Sophia was in danger. As for the broken engagement, I have no clue!" Eddie exclaimed, feeling more wronged than the famously unjustly accused Dou E. The more he learned, the clearer it became that a sinister plot was unfolding around him.

"The entire Dragonrise Continent knows the annulment letter was written by you, tarnishing my sister's reputation. You still want to deny it?" Tunlun's icy aura intensified, almost turning the surroundings into a frozen wasteland. He was on the verge of attacking Eddie but restrained himself due to the ongoing battle against the demons.

Eddie was baffled once again, realizing the depth of the conspiracy against him.

It seemed the entire world, except for Mother Grace's family, believed that he, as the notorious loser of the Yue family, had abandoned Miss Xue of the Xue family.

Perhaps his predecessor learned the truth and, unable to bear the weight of such a despicable plot, chose to end his life in despair.

Yehken, sensing Eddie's confusion, interjected, "Could there be some misunderstanding here?"

"Perhaps it's just a lovers' quarrel," the Lady of Falling-Flower City suggested lightly, then quickly shifted to a more serious tone. "But now is the time for demon-slaying! Counterattack with all your might, and let's push into hell itself!"

"Wait," the previously quiet man who had summoned the Smoke Beast suddenly spoke up, breaking the intense atmosphere.

Eddie faced a man transformed into a bleeding figure, his skin ruptured and veins burst. Under the Warrior's Guild's strict rules, any devil worshipper who summoned a Demon's Gate was doomed to a painful death, regardless of their strength or status.

The man, on the brink of self-destruction, smiled at Eddie, "I've met your father. He was the only one on Dragonrise Continent who didn't discriminate against me, the only warrior I ever respected.

In gratitude for Yue Qu's kindness in saving my life from pursuers, I wish to bestow all I have to you upon my death."

"Don't go near him, Eddie! He's about to explode and take you with him!" Yehken urgently warned.

"It's okay. I'm just a nobody. It doesn't matter if I die!" Eddie responded with feigned nonchalance, masking his internal cursing.

How could he refuse the dying wish of a man who invoked his father's name? He had to acknowledge Yue Qu as his father and couldn't show cowardice.

But inwardly, Eddie was confident in his ability to escape the imminent explosion with his mysterious skills.

"This is something I found in the 'Land of Destruction.' I know it's valuable, but its true nature remains a mystery. I'll leave it to you," the man, identifying himself as Immon, said. He then forcefully tore out his still-beating heart, crushing it and triggering a massive explosion that scattered his remains.

Stunned, Eddie held a mysterious black metal fragment in his left hand and a fading silver tome in his right. A revelation hit him: the tome asked if he wished to set it as a secondary summoning tome and contract it.

"A secondary tome? Can I really contract another one?" Eddie was bewildered. In Dragonrise Continent, even the mightiest could only bond with one tome. Was his fortune so great as to allow a second contract?
