N, Hiro, Lucas, Emily, Lei, and Orm walk inside the main room where they find Sofia once again on a stretcher with Vesalius and Orion's generals beside her.
Sofia turns to face Hiro and N, her expression a mix of relief and determination. "Hiro, N," she says, her voice carrying the weight of her authority and the gratitude she feels, "welcome to Orion."
She then asks Hiro and N to take a seat.
So they sat directly in front of all the generals, being the center of attention for all the people in the room.
The whole journey to the room filled Hiro with amazement, but as soon as he stepped into the room where Sofia and Orion's generals were sitting, he was at a loss for words.
One glance and Hiro could tell that the room was created with the utmost precision and thought.
On each side of the room were big screens that displayed an uncountable amount of camera footage, overlooking every part of Orion and its surrounding.
In the middle was Sofia and Vesalius, behind a table where the generals sat.
Lei, Orm, and Emily leave the room after leaving N, Lucas and Hiro inside, to go back and perform guard duties.
As soon as the generals see two unknown people, N and Hiro, walk into Orion's headquarters, they naturally get extremely confused and concerned.
One of them, the general who is responsible for training people at Orion, Thorne King, speaks up, "Boss, what in the world happened to you? And Vesalius being here makes sense given your condition, but what are these nobodies doing here?" as he points to Hiro and N.
Before Sofia can answer, another general speaks up.
The general that was responsible for gathering intel, Silas Grey, says "Before that. Did the tip I get go wrong?"
A disappointed look washes over Sofia as she answers, "Yes, Silas. Nexus was expecting us. Which is why I got these injuries. We were able to clean it up a little though, but no one big at Nexus was present."
Afterwards Sofia looks towards Thorne to answer his question, "And that is what happened to me Thorne. As for why those two are here, their purpose is to train. I hope I can count on you for that."
Thorne looks at Hiro and N with a confused look, wondering what they did to get permission from Sofia to learn from him.
The third general, the one responsible for Orion's finances, Julian Fox, asks Sofia, "Boss, what was the damage to our guys? How many died?"
With a slightly pained expression, Sofia answers, "Two died. It was Marcus and James. Lucas, Emily, Orm, and Lei only suffered slight injuries."
Sofia then tells everyone of the incidents that happened at the hospital, "After Vesalius treated my wounds, Lucas, Lei, Orm, and Emily were out when we were suddenly attacked by Nexus. I'll let Lucas fill you in on the details. Lucas, go on."
Lucas gives them a detailed, step-by-step recount of the incident that took place with Nexus at the hospital.
Thorne asks Lucas why he was in a separate room with N instead of standing guard outside Sofia's room.
Lucas looks at Sofia, as if waiting for her permission to talk about N's uniqueness.
Sofia nods, giving her approval to tell the generals of Orion about N's regenerative powers.
Lucas tells them about what he had heard from N, about his unknown past and his regenerative powers.
All three generals look confused, saying "You really expect us to believe that?"
When hearing the doubt in their voice and on their faces, Vesalius speaks up. "It's true, I've ran quite the extensive tests to prove it." While chuckling away.
Although still doubtful, their willingness to believe that ridiculous story increases exponentially now that Dr. Vesalius is backing it up.
Sofia then says to Lucas, "That will be all. I am sure that Hiro and N require some much needed rest, Lucas, please lead them to their rooms."
Hiro and N then get up and follow Lucas out the room.
They go through that same dazzling hallway to the same spacious elevator.
After moving down a few floors, they exit the elevator into another long hallway.
Lucas leads the way, passing by countless doors.
Hiro asks Lucas, "Are these rooms all for the people in Orion? Are all of these full?"
Lucas responds in a monotone voice, "Yes and yes."
Hiro wonders why Lucas was acting a little dejected but decides not to pester him and leave him to his own thoughts.
After walking for a little while, Lucas takes them to their rooms.
He says, "This is the room you both will stay in. There are two beds, one bathroom and a shower. I will come get you both in the morning for breakfast, please try not to leave the room before then." as he hands Hiro the keycard for the room and then walks off.
After getting in and having a seat, Hiro asks N about his time at the hospital, "So. Earlier you said that your time at the hospital was good. Tell me all about it if you want, I'm interested in hearing about the stuff you've done."
N tells Hiro about the surgeries that accompanied Vesalius in, about the odd jobs around the hospital and also the experiment that Vesalius did.
Hiro quietly listens as N recounts his activities, happy that N was busy doing something.
After N finishes talking about it, he then voices a concern of his to Hiro, "I believe that my stay at the hospital was beneficial as I was able to learn many new concepts. However, I wish to pursue strength, and I feel as if the time could have been spent better if I practiced and trained with you."
Hiro smiles and replies confidently, "Maybe you would have been able to get physically stronger, but mentally you would have been the same. What you need is true strength, and that is knowledge."
Hiro then tells N about his future, "Listen, N. You are different from everyone else. For that, you are going to be targeted. Your future is going to be a rough one, and to make sure you are strong enough to make the correct decisions in the future, you need more than physical strength, you need a strong mind."
He finishes off his speech by saying to N, "Even if none of this makes sense now, I'm sure in the future it will. I want you to be strong enough mentally to be able to help others and yourself by doing the best thing."
Hiro then changes the topic, "Anyway, enough of that. Don't tell me you've been slacking on your physical training. Have you finished the warmups yet?"
With a hint of excitement in his voice, N tells Hiro about his progress, "Although I have not been able to complete it, I have made good progress. After I was excused by Vesalius, I went back to my room and exercised before going to sleep."
Hiro is delighted to hear that and so they both decide to do a bit of exercise before going to bed.
In the main room, Sofia and the generals discuss about various topics regarding Orion and the future, while Vesalius stood by Sofia monitoring her condition.
After a grueling session of back and forth between Sofia and the generals, Vesalius sort of looses track of time.
After quite a few hours, the meeting finally concludes with all the generals making way to their respective rooms to sleep.
Sofia takes a deep sigh, and with a troubled look, turns to Vesalius and says, "I'm sorry for that. I'm sure you must've been bored."
Vesalius lets out a chuckle, "Bored is an understatement. It truly is beyond me how you're able to sit through these boring meetings."
"Anyway. You got a maid to take care of you?" Asks Vesalius.
"About that.... I did have one, but I let her go not too long ago because I felt like I did not need her." Says Sofia.
Vesalius looks at her with a disappointed expression and says, "How are you going to take care of yourself then..."
He thinks for a second and then says, "If there really is no one, I'll do it for you. And worry not, I'll sleep at the sofa. Done?"
Sofia thinks about it for a second, imagines Vesalius taking care of her and in a hurry says, "No no, no way." While hiding her blush.
For Vesalius' peace of mind, she says "I'll call in Emily to look after me for the time being. You don't need to come."
Vesalius then adamantly says, "Ok. But, I still need to talk to her about something. Call her to your room while I push your stretcher there."
Sofia reluctantly agrees and calls for Emily to meet them in front of her room.
Vesalius then starts to push the stretcher and they make their way to Sofia's room.
On the way Vesalius and Sofia make small talk, but the closer they get to Sofia's room, the more nervous she gets.
From afar they see that in front of Sofia's room stood Emily.
After getting close, Vesalius tells Emily of the situation and leaves it to her to take care of Sofia.
Before leaving, just to make sure, Vesalius asks Emily a very important question.
He asks Emily if she could cook the necessary meals for someone who got shot in the abdomen area.
With a guilty look, Emily replies, "Unfortunately... I don't know how to cook."
Vesalius lets out a deep sigh and asks Sofia if there is a kitchen in her room.
Confused why Vesalius would ask that, Sofia answers, "Yes."
Vesalius then says to Emily and Sofia, "Alright sooo. For the rest of the night, just sleep. Emily, stay close and make sure she does not feel pain and the wound does not reopen. Sofia, if you feel any discomfort, call me right away. In the morning I'll come by and cook something for you so wake up early."
Without waiting to hear their answers, he says, "Right then, sleep well," and leaves.
Emily takes Sofia inside, places her on the bed and lays down close to Sofia in case she needs any help.
The thought of Vesalius coming over and cooking for her makes it difficult for Sofia to sleep at night.
Time passes and eventually sleep takes ahold of Sofia, who gets a some much needed rest.
Night passes and suddenly she is gently woken up by Emily, with the sounds of the bell being rung countless times.
Emily says, "Boss, please wake up. I believe Dr. Vesalius is here to cook for you now."
