Chapter 101
Lina's Disappearance
Gerald's POV
My feet surged forward, out of my room. The spot where I was stabbed was wrapped with linen.
A footstep walked closely behind me swiftly, as though it was trying to catch up with me. I paused.
As I tilted my neck backward, I was confronted by my beta.
"Alpha, you know you can't leave now. You're not strong enough yet."
I could sense his fears and concern for me. I pierced through his eyes which stared at me steadily, crinkled by the side. I exhaled, raised my other hand, and placed it on his shoulder.
"I'll be fine, Tom. I need to be sure Amelia is fine."
Even with my explanations, Tom's face was still filled with doubt. He tried to stop me but my mind was made up.
"Check up on Lina," I said, taking some steps backward. I turned and walked away swiftly, my step echoed on the pavement.
I could sense Tom's gaze staring at my back when I left.
