Gerald's POV
I heard a scream from where I sat– the loud disturbing noise made my heart skip. I frowned my face and my eyes crinkled by the side.
"What's that cry?" I had asked my Beta who sat beside me. His face wrinkled and his eyes crinkled by the side too.
"I don't know my Alpha."
"We must find out then," I said and quickly stood up from my seat and moved towards the door, Tom walked instantly behind me.
Our heavy footsteps clicked on the floor as we moved towards the source of the noise.
"I hope this is not another attack by the witches. I won't find it funny this time."
Tom never said a word to me. It was as though he was too focused on getting to the source of the noise.
The whole pavement was void of any movement. We moved rapidly, the sound of our footsteps disrupted the silence that had encroached on us.
