Chapter 97
Grounded Again
Amelia's POV
My anger surged and my legs moved hastily through the forest. I clenched my fist, my breath came heavy and my eyes glared at the space before me.
"You betrayal, Jennifer! You'll pay for this," I roared and increased my speed. My body swayed hastily as I walked and I could feel my heartbeat increase its beating intensity.
The forest was so calm, but the calmness was disrupted by the chirping of birds.
The trees waved their leaves sideways, causing a harsh breeze to caress my skin. The wind blew my hair apart, its whistling tingled my ear.
With a heavy step, I moved, leaving aside the sound of my footsteps as it suppressed the dry leaves beneath it.
As I walked through the lonely forest, I sensed someone following me. I quickly paused and turned, my eyes darted through the space but met no one.
