Chapter 88
Finding Out
Gerald's POV
I retreated to my room, the weight of the day's events pressing down on my shoulders, a silent burden that I carried into the night, as I lay awake in the darkness, my mind a flurry of doubts as I replayed the events of the day, like a broken record that refused to stop.
I thought of Trevor's sudden appearance, his rage, and his hurried departure. Every single thing that had taken place that evening never left my mind. I churned on then, trying so hard to conclude.
In the stillness of the night, as the moonlight filtered through the curtains, as the world outside slumbered in peaceful oblivion, it all came together, like a jigsaw puzzle falling into place, the pieces fitting together, forming a picture that made my blood run cold.
