Amelia's POV
The forest around us burst with life, the branches of the trees swaying and rustling, their leaves dancing like a sea of green.
The air was thick with the buzz of activity, the chirping of bees, and the frantic rush of feet as the villagers made their way towards the event arena.
"Can you hear that?" Jennifer asked me, her voice urgent and expectant as she leaned forward, her ears straining to catch the distant sounds that echoed through the trees.
I nodded, my own heart thrumming with anticipation as I heard the familiar, almost haunting melodies of the event music, the tumultuous roar of the crowd, a sound that sent a surge of adrenaline coursing through my veins.
"That means the event has already begun," Jennifer said, her voice tinged with excitement, her steps quickened as she hurried forward, her movements lithe and purposeful.
