Chapter 77
After The Night
Amelia's POV
I walked away from Gerald's room that morning, my feet dragging, my head spinning with a whirlwind of emotions that threatened to consume me.
I felt like a part of myself had been taken from me, a piece of my soul that now belonged to Gerald, forever entwined with his own.
My thoughts turned to the night before, the passion that had burned between us, our bodies pressed together, our lips twisted in a fiery embrace that left me breathless, reeling from the intensity of our connection.
My skin still tingled with the memory of his touch, his firm grip, his eyes locked on mine, a silent promise of something more, something deeper.
And yet, I felt ashamed, as if I had betrayed myself, my promise to remain chaste until I found the one who would truly love me, and honor me.
