[Music Recommendation: Western Nights ~ Ethel Cain]
Time came for Jason to be finally discharged from the hospital. Maya helped him into his shoes and shirt while Victor took the boy's bag.
"Are we going home?" Jason asked, watching his mother help him slip his small feet into the shoe.
Maya nodded, "Yes, honey, the doctor said you are all good now and that's just because you are a good boy!" she pecked his forehead.
Victor smiled; he couldn't get enough of watching Maya and Jason and how they showed each other love. And he wished to also share the same love with his son, and more with Maya.
After Maya was done dressing the boy, Victor hung the bag over his shoulder and leaned forward to carry Jason, making sure to avoid the bandaged finger.
"Let's go," he said to Maya, and together, they left the hospital. Victor first made sure Jason was comfortable in the backseat before he closed the door. He turned to Maya.
