Maya and Victor ran inside the hospital where their son was admitted. Both of them had worry etched on their faces, especially Maya who was now on the verge of crying. The past few days had been hectic for her; first she thought she had lost Jason, and now he was in the hospital. All she could do was curse herself for being a bad mother.
Lost in thought, Maya didn't notice when her shoe slipped off her foot, but she continued walking towards the reception.
Victor quickly picked it up and ran after her. "Maya," he called when he saw how unfocused her eyes looked at the moment. He said nothing else but to help Maya put on her shoes. When he stood up, he touched her shoulder. "You have to be careful; we don't want you to get hurt too."
Maya nodded, her eyes filled with tears. "I'm okay, I just want to see Jason. What if—"
