Lily lay in the hospital bed, her newborn baby sleeping beside her. The baby had been moved to the general ward with her mother after being cleaned and dressed. Baby Riley's tiny hands and feet twitched occasionally as she slept peacefully. Lily smiled, looking at her and Raven's child. A feeling of happiness and exhaustion washed over her face. She gently stroked her baby's soft hair, feeling grateful for this little person who had changed her life forever.
The door to her room opened, and Old Bat and Azalea were the first to run inside to where the baby was resting.
"Little one," Old Bat whispered, waving happily to the baby.
Azalea touched the baby's hand, "She looks so beautiful," the woman couldn't contain the joy she had from meeting her first grandchild.
"She looks so much like her father," Old Bat continued, wrapping the baby up properly.
