"Food?" Maya repeated to be sure she heard right. Someone was about to lose their job or be jailed, and all they were worried about was food? She looked at Victor with her brows knitted together.
Victor smiled, "Why? You don't even want to feed me? Wow! I just hit someone powerful for you, and the cameras caught me. What if I spend the rest of my life in jail?" he joked, a smile threatening to escape his lips when he saw the worried look on Maya's face.
"Fine! What do you want to eat?" Maya replied, seeing that he was not going to stop anytime soon asking her to buy him food. It was not like it was a big deal, as she was also grateful to him for helping her out.
