Maya stepped down from the cab and tried to pack her hair up. She checked her bag for the band she was using but couldn't find it. She sighed, thinking she had lost it somewhere. Maya ran inside Jason's school, and she was right on time, but her son didn't look happy to see her.

"Jason! Mommy is here," Maya got on her knees and hugged him tightly. She bit her cheeks, holding back her tears.

All the comfort and warmth she needed came rushing in as she held her son. The heartbreak and pains she felt earlier while looking at Victor faded away. Maya smiled.

"All we need is each other," she whispered to herself.

Jason had his hands folded on his chest, and even when he saw Maya, his eyes were still glued to the gate as if he was waiting for someone else to come and pick him up.

"Miss Maya, you're Jason's mother, right?" one of the preschool teachers asked.
