Raven arrived at the station where Shadow was already waiting for him. His long strides took him straight inside, his face holding a calm expression.
"Mr. Ryker, welcome. We must have disturbed your day, my deepest apologies." Jeffrey's captain bowed upon seeing Raven, getting him a chair to sit comfortably. When Raven sat down, he crossed his leg, one over the other.
Jeffrey cleared his throat upon seeing Raven, unsure if inviting him was the right decision, but feeling the need to act if Raven was truly keeping Lily beside him because of the fortune.
"Mr. Ryker, how true are the reports against your hospital? Seven persons have died, and people want answers," Jeffrey started, typing into his computer.
Raven looked around the station, then at Jeffrey. "Are the answers here then?" he deadpanned.
Shadow suppressed a laugh, his hand in his pockets.
