Tears streaming from her eyes, Kristina was silent for a few seconds then looked up, determination in her eyes. " If you promise to let everyone go with the herbs, I will come with you."
"I do...." Gavin nodded eagerly, lust visible in his eye.
Taking a deep breath, Kristina looked at Gregory. "Captain Gregory, please make sure the herb is delivered to my mother ast the earliest." And then tears in her eyes, she started to walk towards the old man infront of her. All of a sudden, a strong hand grabbed her waist and pulled her onto a tall, black war horse.
She yulped in surprised. But before she realised it, she was sitting on top of the war horse and the person who pulled her up was already walking infront of the horse.
Alan stood a few feet infront of his horse and looked at the Man who was named Gavin. " So you are the Swordmaster named Gavin?"
"Who the Fcuk are you boy. You don't have any buisness here. Move aside if you and everyone here don't want to die." Gavin the swordmaster roared.
"No Alan, please come back, I am fated to the outcome today please save yourself and go with others." Kristina begged.
"Don't worry my lady. I know what I am doing." The confidence and the small smile on the corner of Alan's mouth made her re-evaluate her opinion about the young man.
"Is that so, Gavin! What if I say, I have a buisness in this matter? What if I say, I am curious to know how powerful the so called Swordmaster of Delta city is compared to a Swordmaster from another place?"
Gavin was stunned for a moment then burst out laughing. The mercenaries behind him also roared with laughter.
Alan disappeared from their sight and reappeared holding a head in his left hand and a simple looking sword on his right.
Thud....
A body fell down behind Gavin and the people who were smiling stopped laughing abruptly.
"Well, Gavin is it? What do you think? Am I decent enough to stand infront of you?"
Kristina's mouth was hanging open in shock. Similar shocked expressions were seen on other guards including Captain Gregory.
Gavin drew his sword looking serious. "Who are you? How can you be so swift with the sword at your age? Who is your master?"
"I will give the answers to all of your questions if you can withstand 3 stricks from me. Before that....." Alan looked at the group of people standing behind Gavin with a devilish grin.
I don't want to get my hands wet with all of your blood. Those who have families and want to live for a bit more can leave now. If there are anyone standing behind the so called Swordmaster after 30 seconds will not have their head on their shoulders.
Alan waited for a few seconds and saw more than half of the mercenaries run away.
He smiled genuinely. "Impressive, I think those who came with you have some sense afterall."
"You bastards, do you think you can land even a single strike. I waited till now to see and learn who your master was. So that I can visit him later and cut him into pieces."
"Is that so! Fine then. Get ready I am coming. Taking a step forward, Alan disappeared again. Gavin held his sword tighter and raised it infront of his face.
Thud..... Thud.....
In three second two dull thuds were heards and a scream echoed in the forest. Then heads started falling behind Gavin.
Captain Gregory, Kristina and everyone else's eyes were almost popping out of their socket. They were so shocked that they were even holding their breath unknowingly. When Alan reappeared next Gavin, writhing on the floor, they let out their breaths almost at the same time.
Alan held the neck of Gavin and green light clearly visible to everyone envoloed him. The bleeding from his amputated arms stopped and the man, a renowned swordmaster, Gavin was a helpless, armless person now.
Kristina observed that, even after all the killings and picking up the bleeding man, there was not even a single mark on Alan's body or cloths.
"Well, Gavin, I am really disappointed in you. How can such a weakling like you be considered as a Swordmaster? You didn't even withstood One strike from me!!!"
The words again made the listners drop their jaw in shock. Most of them had witnessed the strength of Master Gavin. He had taken down more than 100 soldiers at multiple situations and even had gotten better out of many other sword masters.
" How can you be so powerful!!! I can take down more than 200 well trained soldiers. I can even take down 3 or even 4 Swordmasters. How could you defeat me so easily. You are not human. You definately can't be." Gavin started shivering in fear.
