Before ithe Hyena could close it's mouth on Lilly's face, a big and strong arm came into her view. It was so strong and steady that, even the huge Hyena which had just jumped with great momentum behind it, was flailing in midair helplessly. The huge palm simply tightend its grip.
"Snap...."
The Hyena's neck snapped with an unmistakable crack. Lilly's shock turned to tears as she looked at Dave, embarrassed by her previous panic.
Dave, with a warm smile, met Lilly's eyes before facing the approaching pack of four Hyenas.
"Strength is one thing," he said calmly, "but never show fear to your enemy."
With a swift punch, he sent another Hyena flying over 40 meters away, halting the rest in their tracks.
The girls watched in awe as Dave's fearless demeanor made even the Hyenas halt in their steps, fear in their eyes and they started to retreat.
Williams who was on the other side swiftly took down the three remaining Hyena's, thought of running away from their hunter but landed infront of the grim reaper.
Then they realized that they was silence all around. All the Hyena's were alreayd dead and the boys were watching Dave's teachings approvingly.
As the girls watched, Lilly couldn't contain her emotions and threw herself into Dave's arms, sobbing uncontrollably.
Dave stunned for a moment looked at the girl who was sobbing, then hugged back and ruffled her head. It is common to feel fear when you face the incoming beast my dear. Don't take it to heart.
But her sobs only intensified when Dave tried to console her, leaving everyone confused. After a few moments, she stepped back and took his right hand in both of hers, examining the bleeding bite mark where he had intercepted the incoming Hyena.
"You're injured because of my cowardly behavior, brother. I'm so sorry," she choked out, tears streaming down her face. "I know how painful a Hyena's bite can be. It..... it slowly..... kills..."
Her words trailed off as she sobbed, understanding the gravity of the situation. Rose joined her, crying heavily, and even Irene couldn't hold back her tears. The boys exchanged mischievous smiles, and Dave winked at them before swaying slightly.
"Brother, what's happening?" Lilly panicked, and Rose rushed to Dave, holding him tightly.
"I think... the Hyena's Saliva is taking effect," Dave murmured, his voice strained. "I feel like my internal organs are on fire, like they're rotting away."
Dave collapsed, closing his eyes, as the girls screamed his name in panic, tears flowing uncontrollably. Alan, sensing the situation could escalate, called out to Dave, "Enough, Dave! Do you want your sisters to suffer even more?"
In a flash, Dave sat up, staring at Alan intensely. "Al, never joke about making my sisters suffer again. I'll never let that happen."
He glanced at the stunned girls and chuckled awkwardly. "I just wanted to know how much my sisters love me, that's all..."
The other boys erupted into laughter, breaking the tension in the air.....
--------------------------------
The boys were snickering repeatedly theoughout their journey that day. Dave sat stiff on his horse looking straight ahead.
Alan had healed him in a matter of few seconds and told the girls about the prank Dave had played on them. He assured them that Dave is 100% cured. Infact he had already cured Ben more than 4 years ago from Hyena's bite and he is still as healthy as a horse. When Ben noded his head in agreement to Alan's claim. They let out a sigh of relief.
And then came the assault... Dave was literally cowering under the girls brutal punches and kicks. He had never thought that the princess of the Heathrow's, Rose could pack such a punch.
In a matter of seconds he was laying on the ground covering his head and face with his arms. His body bruised and battered. His face looked as if he had ran straight into an iron wall at full speed, both his eyes black, lips split and face bruised.
He was beaten up by the girls. Badly....
Even Irene gave him a couple of punches.
He was sitting meekly on his horse now afraid that he would get a second round of beating if he opened his mouth.
