Other boys also heard the noise of the clashes once they moved a quarter of a mile ahead.
"Al, its a carnage there. Lilly get inside the caravan, Now." Ben said in a serious tone. Lilly simply obeyed his order without thinking, such was the authority and command his words were holding.
"Ben, Bob to my left next to the carriages. Chris, Dave to my right next to the carriages. Wil at the rear." Alan instructed.
The Heathrow's who started listening to them when Lilly came in, were shocked at the efficiency and at the ease at which the boys took a defensive formation. But still they didn't hear any sound.
After moving for another half a mile, they started hearing weapons clashing and screams of pain. The merchant's guard were stunned, it was exactly around a mile as predicted by the boy. Everyone started to move nervously.
All of a sudden they entered a clearing, the scene shook the merchant's and the guards souls. A couple of caravans wearing duke's insignia along with a few badly wounded guards were surrounded by atleast 200 completely black clad men.
A few bodies with black cloths and more than 30 of dukes soldiers were laying on the ground either dead or dying.
When this new group entered the clearing the leader of the black clad men noticed and directed few of his men towards the new group. Leave everything and scram from here. Pretend like you have not seen anything. If you have other ideas we will be more than happy to send you all to the hell. A deep and sinister voice sounded behind the mask.
The merchant's and the guards were scared witless and started to retreat leaving their caravans.
"What a bunch of loud mouths. They talk so big but when they face enemy they cover like three year old girls." Dave mocked them back and other boys started laughing.
The guards and the merchant's panicked. "They are not with us. These six are Adventurers and joined our group for their own safety. We have nothing to do with them." The fat merchant and the guard started blabbering, fearing for rheir life.
The leader of the black clad men laughed loudly. "Adventurers??!! these six boys? If they are adventures, I am a the king of this kingdom then." all 200 men laughed loudly.
Those who want to live, run now. Not the six of you. If you boys try to run, I will hunt down everyone. The leader announced.
Shivering with fear, the merchant's and their guards ran for their lives leaving everything behind. "Cowards,...." Bob cursed them under his breath.
The boys unmounted and got down from their horses. "Lads no..... They are too many. We can't handle them. Get up quickly we can still escape." George said urgently, afraid for the boys.
Williams turned towards George with a smile and said, " Great uncle George, are you affraid of these cowardly basterds, who are afraid to even show their faces? Any one of us can take down those basterds without breaking a sweat."
Everyone were shocked by the proclamation made by Williams.
The men in black, started to roar with laughter.
The leader started, "ha ha ha..... kid you are really funny. Do you kow who that man, covered in bloody is? He pointed towards a man, who was covered in blood and was heavily panting leaning on the side of the carriage for support.
"He is the general of the duke's army. The fourth most powerful person in the Winden region. See his condition for yourself. And you said you can still take us on?"
Another round of laughter rang out.
Williams started to walk towards the clearing. "Hey why should you go? Let me have the fun." Bob started to walk.
Hey why you? I will go. Ben wanted to go.
"It's my turn now guys. Its been so long since I cleared some trash out." Chris cracked his knuckles.
"It's my turn this time. You guys always leave me behind." Dave stared at them.
Wait.... Williams shouted." Let those basterds choose their own hands of death."
"Now that's a brilliant idea Wil." Dave grinned and turned towards the leader. "Hey you, the ugly one, choose whome you wish to get yor ass kicked from?"
"No Dave, please calm down, Elena called and came down from the carriage." Everyone else followed.
Ha ha ha... is that so. Ok then, boys let the duke's soldiers rest a while you lot keep an eye on them. Remaining all comewith me, and I will have the women and the two girls for tonight. They are all yours from tomorrow." The men in black cheered at their leader'sannouncement.
The Heathrow's felt a shiver run through their spines. And the boys stiffened, the killing intent emanating from them, palpable to those near them.
