Chapter 110 - The "Witless" and the "Freak of nature"

What happend Al, did it.... did it not work? Chris asked.

Williams, poured a jug of water on to Alan's head slowly and then gave him a jug of water to drink. After drinking the water Alan looked at Ben. " You owe me big time Ben. He is fine now. If you ever let his get hurt because of your stupidity, I will take him away from you...." Alan told Ben in anger.

The horse started neighing at Alan, as if he was arguing and scolding him on behalf of Ben.

Alan looked at the horse in surprise. "Try me if you want. I dare you..." Alan announced in amusement.

What? Dave aske in puzzlement....

"He is saying he would kick me if I try to seperate him from Ben." Alan smiled shaking his head in disbelief at the horse's theatrics.

" I thought you are close to the Trouble Maker and can talk to it like a person and didn't gave it too much thought. But now you are saying, you do understand the horse language?" Dave asked in disbelief.

"I do understand the animals somewhat. Not only horse." Alan shrugged.

"Thats it, I can officially considering you a freek now. Next time when a wild beast attacks us I will ask put you forward to speak with it and persuade it not to attack us. We can ask for it's demands and try to fulfill it." Dave shook his head in exasperation, bringing smile on everyone's face.

Alan shook his head smiling at Daves dramatical speach and turned his head towards the horse. " And you.... I will call you "Witless" from now on. There is already a trouble maker among us and now you can be a witless one."

The horse neighed and bobed his head while in a sitting position like he was agreeing to its new name by Alan. "

Unbelievable..... you are really unbelievable." Alan shook his head and turned towards Dave. " It seems he liked his name Dave. He is 'Witless' now."

They started laughing. And the horse snorted proudly not caring about anyone's reaction.

Alan then wiped the water from his face and thanked Williams.

Helen a bit skeptical at Alan's words, took the lantern and went towards the horse's side and was shocked at what she saw. The horse's festering wounds were completed healed. Even the missing chunk of flesh and skin regrew. The only visible mark on its body was the loss of fur on the regrown skin.

"Amazing !!! Truely Amazing. I had never seen, even heard something like this in my life." The guard who was standing near Helen, exclaimed in utter disbelief.

Alan dear, how did you do it? How can you heal an animal? Helen asked in utter disbelief.

"Can't I grandma? It's all the same healing a person or an animal rite?" Alan asked in puzzlement.

"No my child, Healing a human is entirely different from healing an animal. Theoretically its highly impossible for a healer's magic to work on an animal. Its never even heard of.!!!" Helen exclaimed in awe.

Alan smiled sheepishly scratching his head, saying, "Well no one told me about that grandma. I just felt it's pain and it's determination to not leave Ben to suffer alone. This one here is one hell of a fighter. If it's any other horse, without it's determination I don't think they would have made it this far. And wanting to acknowledge its chivalry, just did it as I usually use my mana to heal."

After listening to Alan's words Helen also try to inject her mana into the horse to test, but her hand rebounded as if it was pushed back. Then she shook her head again. And beamed fondly at Alan. "I think you are an exception dear, I is an uncommon gift."

I think the right word you might searching would be 'freak of nature' lady Helen." Dave grinned mischievously at Helen and put his hands on Alan's shoulder happily making everyone grin at his comment.

"Well Williams get Ben washed up and bring him to the dining hall. We will wait for you." James instructed Williams.

Williams noded and took Ben inside.

Once Ben went in, Alan instructed the guard to take the horse to the stable and keep it near their war horses. Nodding his head the guard happily took the horse away.

Everyone exchanged glance sighing....
