"Bring some manpower and set off to the northern desert," Su Tiange didn't explain too much but ordered directly.
"Yes," Zhou Dafu understood and bowed in response.
"Manpower? I understand. Let a few more Supreme Elders recover. After all, how could the suzerain travel without the protection of the Ninth Heavenly Powerhouse of the Returning Yuan Realm?"
It just so happened that the Supreme Elders who woke up before were still asleep, so they simply greeted each other.
Chenguang Realm, Northern Territory.
Unlike the southern region, which consists mostly of plains or fertile land, the northern region is much more barren, with mountains and yellow sand everywhere, and traces of the human race are rarely seen here.
Most of the inhabitants are barbarians and other foreign races living in this area.
The northern domain is also known as the domain of chaos in the five domains of the east, south, west, north, and middle of the Chenguang world.
In the desert, legend has it that a giant from the upper realm fought in this place countless years ago. After a drop of blood fell on the Southern Territory, it not only changed the appearance of the entire Southern Territory but also formed a forbidden place in the Chenguang Realm - the desert!
In the desert, ominous signs appear every day and night, and there are many ancient races living here, so it is known as one of the many forbidden places in the Chenguang Realm.
But on this day, Su Tiange brought Zhou Dafu and the five Supreme Elders into the desert silently.
"My lord, I have roughly determined that Shi Wu's residence is in a village called Huangcun in the middle of the desert," Zhou Dafu said respectfully.
"Go with some of your men and drive away the strange and fierce beasts in the desert, then provoke an attack on the deserted village," Su Tiange said indifferently.
"Sovereign Lord, do you intend to act at a critical moment to win favor? But didn't you mention that a giant from the upper realm is living in seclusion in the deserted village? Won't this be noticed by the other party?" Zhou Dafu expressed his confusion.
"What I desire is for her to see," Su Tiange responded. "How can we be certain without testing?"
"Understood, my lord," Zhou Dafu seemed to comprehend, yet remained puzzled.
As night descended, at the entrance of the desolate village, distant roars were faintly audible. Soon, a ten-year-old boy was spotted dragging a beast the size of a hill toward the village.
The scene of apparent disobedience appeared remarkably natural in the carefree expression of the boy.
By the entrance of the village, a peach tree, bearing cracks and charcoal, swayed gently as if welcoming the boy home.
The boy solemnly placed the beast down and bowed to the peach tree before proceeding toward the village.
"Hey, Xiaoshizi is back? Tsk tsk, they say rock sparrows rival the strong in the visceral realm. Now you can hunt rock sparrows? Your talent would shock the North Territory if known outside," an old man exclaimed upon seeing Shi Wu.
"Old Zhang, keep flattering me like this, and I might start believing you're a ghost," the young master retorted in jest.
Shi Wu curled his lips and remarked, "Haha, what Old Zhangtou said, Xiaoshizi, is true. We may know little, but your daring nature is something that would mark you as a genius in the outside world," another elderly woman chimed in with a smile.
As the group chatted and laughed, the ground suddenly shook violently, and in the distance, countless dust clouds filled the sky. The peach tree at the village entrance seemed to sense something, emitting a faint wave of energy from its trunk.
All the villagers turned toward the entrance, and upon seeing the situation, their expressions changed dramatically.
"Oh no! Deserted beasts are attacking the village! Everyone, hide quickly! Xiaoshi, don't be foolish. There are too many deserted beasts this time. Blast it, why would a beast wave happen now? Hide quickly, or we'll all be finished," the chief of Huangcun urged hastily.
"Village chief, I'm not foolish. Rushing at so many wild beasts would mean certain death," Shi Wu scratched his head and replied.
Boom! An ancient and fierce aura erupted from a distance. Amidst the silence, a colossal ape, over 10,000 feet tall, moved towards the deserted village with bloodthirsty eyes and heavy steps.
"This is..."
"A surviving Zhantian Ape! Born in the Viscera Realm, and as an adult in the Life and Death Realm. Its size... an adult Zhantian Ape!"
"A powerhouse in the realm of Life and Death..."
"It's over. There's no need to hide. We... are all doomed," everyone's faces turned pale instantly, their eyes filled with despair, causing some to stagger and nearly fall.
"Huh? A beast tide attacking humans?"
Just as despair loomed over everyone, a soft 'eh' sound broke the silence. In the next second, an enormous palm, covering the sky and earth, slammed towards the ground. The boundless sky seemed to darken as this palm descended, vast and monumental like the world itself.
Boom! With a single palm, everything turned to emptiness!
All the ferocious beasts, including the Zhantian Ape, met their demise.
"I, Su Tiange, have crossed paths with all of you," Su Tiange declared.
"Passing through this area, I noticed our fellow humans were in peril, so I intervened. I hope you won't take offense," he added calmly, as ripples appeared in the void. Su Tiange, Zhou Dafu, and the others materialized out of thin air, wearing gentle expressions.
It must be noted that Su Tiange's physique, demeanor, and appearance were undeniably perfect—possessing qualities that easily evoke a sense of relatability among readers. As long as his countenance wasn't indifferent, it inevitably left people feeling as though they were basking in a warm spring breeze.
